Next on my itinerary is something different - a tour of a lava cave. At Víðgelmir, we'll descend over 30 m (100 ft) underground via the narrow "Squeeze". But what awaits inside is well worth it: layers of colorful lava, stalagmites, and fantastic rock formations.
