(29 Oct 2020) Various explosions could be seen on the outskirts of Stepanakert in the Nagorno-Karabakh area early Friday morning.
Nagorno-Karabakh lies within Azerbaijan but has been under the control of ethnic Armenian forces backed by Armenia since a war there ended in 1994.
Talks between top diplomats from Azerbaijan and Armenia are due to happen on Friday to try to end their long conflict over the separatist territory.
The latest fighting began Sept. 27 and has involved heavy artillery, rockets and drones, in the largest escalation of hostilities over the separatist region in the quarter-century since the war ended.

Armenia must surrender! Didn't they think about it? people they fired and massacred will come back one day. While there is a peaceful life, the Armenians who massacred the Azerbaijanis in 1991 cannot now speak of peace.

@@bunkerbunt3390 There is no country called Artsakh. There is no Artsakh army. Armenia are country that uses Russian weapons completely and cannot stand without the help of Russia. Nobody can help you in the lands you occupy, you yourself are nothing. Remember UN Resolutions, uninformed son of a bitch. The occupation of those lands is clearly recognized by the whole world. How many more years would we wait for the withdrawal of the Armenian forces from Karabakh through peace. When the Armenians did not understand human language, we started talking with the language that they would understand, I think they understand. Yes, this war will continue until the last Armenian soldier dies. Even Jesus is delighted at this situation.

@@zippy7214022379 The people of Azerbaijan have the security to live in wide open spaces with beautiful vistas to the white capped mountains of the Caucasus, they have the Caspian Sea, they have oil and all the prosperity that oil can bring if the Aliev family is willing to spread it. Armenians do not have that luxury. For 600 years the Ottomans have routinely beaten them down and they were often forced to find refuge in the mountains. Mountainous terrain is what secures their safety - in this ongoing conflict that is clear. In this conflict, behind every Khojali there is a Sumgait, etc, etc - with anger, suffering and despair on both sides. The war is over. Armenia has lost. Their now sending everyone to the front to be slaughtered even old men. The sense of self preservation and belligerence of Pashinyan has cost them dear.
