I have a very serious question: x^m^n is not equal to (x^m)^n equals to x^(m*n)? To extrapolate, is not the same x^a^b^c^d^... as x^(a*b*c*d*...)?
@justabunga1
@justabunga1 4 года назад
It’s hard to tell without the use of parentheses. Does x^m^n means (x^m)^n=x^(mn) or x^(m^n)? We can’t tell.

At 2:00 how would some one intuitively know that the "2" has a "1" as a power/exponent? Because since I don't see an exponent, my mind rationalizes that there is "0" exponents. But yet, you put "1". why?
@kyle1086
@kyle1086 4 года назад
Because 2 to the power of 1 =2 (2x1=2). It's just a way to visualize how to distribute the exponent outside of the parenthesis and remember to put it onto the 2 as some people forget as he said. (If a number has no exponent, it has a exponent of 1 as any number times 1 is always the same.
@andrescientos
@andrescientos 4 года назад
@@kyle1086 thanks for the input, the comment section is full of lost prayers and questions. So only in context of the "cube" outside of the parenthesis it manifests a "1" power to ALL stand alone numbers. Otherwise, without the parenthesis and a cube, it just be a regular stand alone number.
