Bar Chairs non existent, they are required to set the reinforcing mesh to the correct position within the concrete cover. Concrete will fail unfortunately, be aware people, make sure this critical work is done.

Concrete ninja yeah bro they can make a hard job even harder with some of the crap they send. Two months ago spent 9 hours watching a driveway because they put the wrong sand in it and too much water at the plant. 🤷♂️😱🤬👊👍💯🤦🏻♂️you da man bro!

I didn't see any expansion joints or control joints. Not a good job, This driveway will crack when the when changes. I have never seen a complete solid driveway

I've being doing some exposed for a small landscaping company . Used a product called Ccs reveal . You stick it once then spray the fuck out of it . Looks like shit cause you can see every stick trowel line but when you wash off it comes up mint .

I'm from the highlands of Scotland and would appreciate some advice in regards to your process in the past I've used a self neutralising retarder which is depth specific 2mm, 3mm, 5mm 10mm based on the size of the aggregate to keep the surface fat/paste live which is costly! I have heard of sugar being used and watched yourself in this video but how much suger? per litre of water? I Imagine its caster sugar? Also what is the ratio of aggregate to concrete per m3 cubic metre of concrete that does away with seeding the chips into the surface to insure a uniform blanket of chips on the surface if you could advice this would be amazing many thanks Big T

@@concreteninja thanks, i am contracter for the exposed aggregate finish in korea, we apply to mortar thk20~30mm on subconcrete by hand trowel. it is very important to mix and mixing matrial for good quality in exposed aggregate, so we use of something additive to concrete mortar. As you video, i can find out it is good and special mixtures to be good for workability and gravel stability, etc.
고안종 It is good to have it all through the next that way you will not miss nothing but if you have to sprinkle the stone later just make sure you do it when it’s wet and put plenty of stone down . What's this sugar mix ya using ,we use a product that green it's called" prime exposed" in a red drum , but it's pretty pricey , are you litteraly just mixing sugar and water?
I dont actually think they are mower strips, they are for builders warranty purposes. Builders tell clients they require it to have a better warranty or that they need it. The truth is you don't actually need it, if a apron around the house was required for structural reason it would be part of the house build to get certificate of occupancy. Its a stupid thing builders came up with to avoid claims... basically if you make a claim they ask you if you have concreted a apron around the house, then they tell you they will do the repair once you get it done... its a bit of obfustication... yet if it was integral to the structural integrity they should do it as part of the build.. Its so dumb... as people used to put garden around there house and up to windows... now people are so worried about the legalitys of it they dont.,.. Its fckn nuts... and it looks stupid.
Sometimes when I do an exposed aggregate job the end result is very “milky” or “white” when the concrete cures. Am I not removing enough of the cream during the spray/wash period? (I just order a standard pea gravel mix)
you need to give it a light acid wash 4 or 5 days afterwards. 1 part hydrochloric acid to about 30 parts water, not too strong a mix. you just want to get rid of the concrete stains left on the exposed stones. let it dry a couple more days before applying sealer.
