You are absolutely correct. I fully agree with you. I have seen how Himachali Couple were ignored by them. Cultured overlanders like Vanlife Indiancouple never repeated their so called meet. In fact, the group is being run by very few insiders like vivek, dhruv and a hotel owner from srinagar, and one or two producers of tent. What i hated the most about their so called meets is, you dont get to see any famous place and just cooking and eating and everyone is shooting and vlogging!! You have very correctly called their bluff of collecting money in the name of particioation fee. All they spend is 3000 max on a site on water tanker and few kgs of wood. Thats it.
It is eye opener. I agree with you that with so many cameras around, you cannot enjoy yourself. You become conscious and don't behave normally. Overlanding is being projected as Reality Show like Big boss. Revenues from RU-vid channel has become important for overlanders. It is not that much fun for selves.
Cameras are there in any tourist spot. It doesn't come in the way of camping. But you do have a point that overlanding cannot be crowded with lots of people. Also, the revenue from RU-vid is negligible to none for 99% of the campers so that is an incorrect assumption.

Sirji Mai आपसे पूर्णतः सहमत हूं। मेरे पास भी XUV 500 Camper वैन सेटअप हैं। मेरा सोचना हैं कि जब भी हम अपना कुछ समय दुनियारीदारी से दूर अपने परिवार के साथ बिताना चाहते है तो इतना 10/12 कैम्पर वैन का भीड़ भड्डका क्यों। यह सब तो हमे हमारे घर के आसपास भी मिल सकता है। इसलिए कैंपिंग कभी भी कम से कम लोगो के साथ की जाय तो अच्छा। दूसरी बात की हम निसर्ग का आनंद लेने जाते है न कि भीड़ भाड़ का। और यह बात सही है की वहा सिर्फ व्यापार हो रहा है कोई रूफटॉप टेंट बेच रहा है तो कोई कुछ और। यह गिझर लगाना एक तरह की बेवकूफी है।आपने उनकी वैन देखी क्या? कम से काम 40 साल पुरानी। मेरे हिसाब से इतनी पुरानी गाड़ी को रोड पर चलने की परमिशन भी नहीं मिलनी चहिए । औरो के जान को भी खतरा हो सकता है। यह कोई पैसे वाले नही है पैसे कमाने आए है।
The basic point of campervan is to be able to get closer to nature and having some lone time. What's the use of joining a large overlanding family where u can't be alone. It defeats the whole purpose of overlanding. Better u take a hotel..
Camping alone in india is not safe....i have faced lot of issues . specially in off beat locations ... You can't go and camp in Forest with your kids .you can't go alone where there is no network coverage, no hospital and no shops near by... Humare group me doctors,advocates, pediatrics and retired colonel sab hai...so we feel more safe in group
Yes. I felt the same. Campervan expeditions are different from organized picnic on wheels. And yes their backgrounds are affluent. The campervan culture will flourish only when normal middle-class people get involved and it can only happen in mid size cars or SUVs. Normal working middle-class people can't afford to travel for weeks or months. Their work gets affected.
Yes koi normal banda 20 ya 25 din ke liye camping karega to woh job ya business kaise karega. And ye log isliye karte hai kyonki ki yeh camping ko promote karne ke naam par hi paisa kama rahe hai they are running their business through camping aur kehte hai ki nahi hum toh camping ko promote kar rahe hai.

Actually the way he is described it, is not overlanding at all. It's a meet-up and camping event. People just wanting to meet others with camping and travel interests.

@@rishihanchate7458 i don't think anyone is "making money" per se. Yes there are a few who have their own products but like any event products are discussed and compared. Much needed as one can see and buy what they find useful. This happens in any social event all around the world.

My advice on personal experience is that first decide on the vehicle and then simply take help from the company itself in converting the vehicle in a caravan as per ur desire. I inquired about force traveeler and tata winger , so they help u with the modification as per ur requirement. another thing that i couldnt understand with these people is that most of them have second hand outdated vehicles so how they getting the permission to ply on the road like in the case of caravan bharat his earlier van was already outdated and in many videos one could see it getting stuck and giving problems and seems he has managed to sell it off and bought a new second hand make again a very old van....
Veere , I have also observed and seen videos of caravan Bharat - Vivek , he is very pokey kind of person who peeps into everyone’s vans without seeking permission, he seems very greedy and selfish , and his hahahhahhaha is quite irritating

Thanks alot dear, I also felt the same the way so called outlander community is glorifying many fact which are highly dangerous and far away from reality, I am also following few top camper van couples and groups of world approx 5 year plus but the way indian outlander society peoples aur commercializing the van life style, is pathetic, thanks again for giving your words to my thoughts.

I watched couple of the so called overlanders .. Caravan bharat is trying to make money by going on trips in their campervan with family in the name of adventure and putting their kids future too at risk... another one is the guy from dehradoon with red matador who has got into the business of paid consultancy to new ameature overlanders... another is a guy named sukesh who is into dealing camp materials at higher cost then what one can get at lower price and the list goes on..koi hotel buisness mein hsin, koi homestay hain, koi pest control.... basically everyone is into promting self interest and business. Their camping is a total chaos.
You are absolutely right brother, they are acting as they are enjoying but behind the screen, their main aim is earning......and promoting the brands and channels......if you absorve their videos they never explore the surrounding areas ....they expose only tents and camping items......if anybody wants to spend a time with your family pls go and enjoy your self and don't fall under their trap.......

She also asked ki 2500 aur kis cheez ke liye use honge but unhone sirf flags aur banners mentions kiye hai ......aur sir aap ka kya matlab hum jaise youtuber.....hum kisi se kum nahi hai...and hum jis hisab se mehnat kar rahe hai we don't need any body to get promoted....and overlanding and youtube videos are two different things.....

Actually these over landing groups act like middle men & they mostly cater to foreign tourist or rich Indian tourist. If you don't want to spend too much simply buy a decent 4x4 like jimny or thar & start travelling. Even a decent high ground clearance car will do. The more you travel more you will know various camping locations. We went to spiti in our sedan & there was a over Lander group behaving like they are experts. On the road to Chandrataal these overlanders were shit scared to drive even when they had high end 4x4 cars. Driver may dum ho toh koi bhi gadi chalti hai. Itna extreme offroading India may kisi bhi circuit pe nahi hota.. So you don't really need these so called experts😅

True this is more like an Expo. We should unsubscribe from these blogger channels. Let's make an unbiased Campers group , where we help/guide people who want to camp free of cost. And when you are planning a camping trip, put the itinerary on the group so that anyone interested can join for free.

Some time true facts most of the ppl won’t accept. If we say they will outside us. Just for sticker, flag and t shirt 2500 rs is way too much. Who needs t shirt. Sticker also I will not stick on my car. We think it’s difficult to do over landing in India as it’s crowded and for safety reason. If ppl take advantage of that and starts making money that’s very bad. Looks like we have a make a group by ourselves middle class overlanders.
