The player that received the messi shirt originally may have been none the wiser about this and assumed it was match worn. Just a theory though

Don’t mind Ellis and the content he puts out, but fucking hell he needs to realise you can’t just throw money at something in the shirt collecting space and get it- the more valuable a shirt the easier it’ll be to trace the origins, and people keep their sources to themselves. Network and organically grow your contacts and sooner or later an opportunity will come up to get the Messi shirt. Ellis is probably the most prominent shirt collector in the UK RU-vid wise and aside from the Ramsdale shirts hasn’t really been able to procure anything matchworn of note… says it all. Just my 2 cents!

for someone who's apparently big in the industry of selling match worn shirts, did it not seem strange to this Ellis that he was being asked to pay by bank transfer. At the very least it should have been via a payment merchant or even PayPal. This just sounds like when a gobshite pays for something that's clearly fake (or doesn't exist) over Facebook marketplace then starts getting pissy that he's been conned. And speaking of conned, who's conned Jack into getting turkey teeth?? They look mental.
