It’s crazy that THAT some of yall DONT understand the journalist part of this series i started.... this series to educate you on what’s actually going in the United States and shed light on how minority businesses are CAPITALIZING and taking over to say I never showcase black people or I don’t support black people is quite ridiculous when my predominant audience is 86% African American female between ages 17-32 so that should show just in fact who trying to HELP ELEVATE in the business world “FOR FREE” the most underrated person in America THE BLACK FEMALE ...
Thank you for sharing! Do to thang mama! I am in Texas and will be xoming to shop in Cali all becauae of YOU!❤🙏😘😘😘 Didn't even know about the wholesale district and how much La has to offer to help small buaibess owners ...so THANK YOU!💯
Girl Eff ha . She must forget this is your channel. Do as you please . She don’t write your checks . I’m Black & I needed this & the video before I’m trying to start a business. Keep glowing Tae
glamazontay girl don’t listen to nobody they just mad. That’s your channel you do whatever tf you want. They just mad you’re helping other people because no one want to share their knowledge because they’re selfish and want to be the only one successful and making money. I thank you so much for your videos because of the other videos I was able to open my own online store I just launch last week. Keep doing you and keep up the good work.❤️❤️
Please don't allow peoples ignorance and stupidity, to stop you from helping the one's who really admire and appreciate your work.... I'm her Sis I appreciate you.
She just exposed all of this knowledge about the hair industry and y'all still in the comments complaining, she really didn't have to share any of this at all
As a six-figure entrepreneur I'm extremely impressed that you are able to obtain these relationships and have them open their facilities up to you. From my understanding this predominantly Asian industry is very tight-knit and they go out of their way to keep us out of it. So kudos to you for this and the opportunities associated. Don't worry about some of these low energy comments, those folks are clearly comfortably asleep in The Matrix, so LEAVE THEM THERE! #greatjob
@@LiyahOrange they're wholesalers. They advertise and they welcome advertising. I shop downtown there too. there's tons of Asians and tons of Hispanic folks and everyone treats you nice because you're there to buy wholesale. It's customer service. No need to fear Asians or anyone. it's all good. I've been doing this for well over a decade. there are videos on RU-vid dating further back than that. that have been showing downtown. This isn't the only state that has a district(s) like this. I've started shopping there when I was a kid, in that area with my father. It's very open and we'll known
Im so proud of her.. She was obviously meant for this.. Something about her personality they trust enough to let her in.. Plus im sure her large audience doesn't hurt..
Whatzit Tooya God cares about everything and l mean everything that has to do with human beings he is not indifferent to us the enemy may want for us to think so but that's a lie
Can we take a moment and appreciate the professionalism she's showing. She could of easily went in there and spoke about all the different closures and types of wigs but instead she started the conversation and let the people tell us. Great job 👏🏾
KOREE KASH,hot sale season our factory do promotion wholesale wigs for wholesalers who can order 5 wigs one time at least. straight, body wave, deep wave, deep curl are in the stock now! long length 30” 40” is available. if need price pls let me know😊 WhatsApp +8615725200302
Big thank you for taking the time out of your day to do this for US! Most people are out here charging $100 plus for this information. This is why you will stay blessed because you aren't worried about competition but making sure we can all eat together! I love you boo keep it up
Dang. They pit in a lot of work into these wigs and bundles. I never knew. I have a whole different respect for these workers. This is worth every penny they cost. Can you imagine when they get to three lace front. They manually put every stand the way they do. Wow. I'm impressed.
Yea but your money isn’t paying those workers . They get a fraction of what we pay . That’s capitalism for you . Thats the entire beauty and fashion industry for you . It’s not just wigs .
I want to thank Glamazontay for doing this important work. I have noticed that many people in the comment section think she doesn’t support Black owned businesses because she isn’t featuring any in this series of ‘EXPOSING Industries.’ What should be understood is that, yes, Asia has a stronghold on the hair industry (that’s all of Asia (India is in Asia too y’all)) and Black peoples aren’t that high up in the industry outside of purchasing and being customers. Yes, now there are Black peoples opening their own beauty supply stores, salons and online wholesale shops but we still do not have the same access as Chinese, Korean and Indian people do in the industry in terms of being the direct suppliers. As a Black woman, it is INCREDIBLY difficult to travel to Asia and purchase your hair direct, people won’t sell to you (that’s racism (yeah, we know!)) and very few Black women have successful found a direct supplier who will sell to them and put the hair in their hands. I am talking flying to India and bringing the hair back in their carry on and checked luggage. Glamazontay is showing us as much as she can in hopes that someone will take notes and break down the barriers in this industry. If you aren’t aware of REMY NY Hair company, take look! I have personally spoken with the founder and owner and he even flew to Atlanta to do a workshop with students of my college (Spelman College) to educate us on how to make wigs by hand, find suppliers etc. He is someone trying to close the gap in this industry because Black women are the largest consumers of wigs and weave. We should be making the most money in the industry as well. Please don’t write her off as a sell out or doing this for money, she is trying to HELP the Black community by sharing all that she knows!!!!
Because of Remy NY, I'm more concerned about the origin of hair I consider purchasing. It's been a hot minute since I've bought hair because of ethical sourcing. Very informative.
I'm always saying to my friends that no one tells anyone how anything is done or how they make their businesses and here you are sharing this. Thank you so much. I wish I could like and subscribe more than once, def sharing this with my friends.
Glam you are really the goat for this "exposing" series. So many people want to be gate keepers, but giving out the keys really just assures your success in the long run!
Unless they are walking around butt naked, no one can say anything about buying or depicting stuff made in China. 99% of everything we buy, even food, is made in China. I'm an almost 50 year old Pro Black teacher and my hair is shedding. I am very happy that you did this so very professionally. It takes an enormous amount of work to put together this excellent piece. I commend you for your work. Thanks very much for giving me a lot of answers to questions I have about the weave industry and hair. I have also been seeing a new, smaller sized closure that about 2"x or 12". I sure wish I'd had that before that girl put that damned glue on my hair and made it come out even more.
Thank you Tay! You’re the only social media platform that is willing to share this information with their followers/subscribers. Everybody else acts like it’s top secret information that only they know and want to charge you for it. They don’t do it because they love it, everybody is just trying to get rich quick and it’s sad. Thank you Tay for being a real one and supporting your sisters 💜✊🏾
A very important thing that this video touches upon is how and why black owned business are more expensive. You see, if the ladies here wanted to sell the hair at retail price, they can offer it at a lower price because there is no middleman. But if I black person was to sell this hair it will have to be sold at a higher price because they have to pay the middleman, in this case these beautiful ladies in this video. This video was so insightful. Thank you Tay! And thanks to them for allowing use to see the process 💕💕
That's a decision though. Black women can find the direct source also and choose to cut out the middle man. I use to order from Chinese companys. The way they operate is a little shady which is what scares off Americans more then anything.
Some of them even have websites now with little information but an example of their product and contact info is displayed. With proper research the information is obtainable, for sure.
Tee Zee yes a black woman can do research and order straight from the vendor however most of not all vendors will come from Asia being that’s where majority of the hair comes from. Unless African women start putting their hair up for sale in a large mass like Indians do, India will continue to be replenished from black women buying the hair.

I love that you actually helped them out while you were there. Instead of just standing back and waiting until they finished, you seemed really interested. I loved this!
Tiffany P right! She asked questions that I know she knows the answers to. She lets the interviewees speak and explain uninterrupted! She then paraphrases for her viewers. She’s a natural and very talented.
When I say you’ve been nothing be the most supportive and helpful person!!! I’ve been glam squad since we were making earrings lol and I’ve seen your growth and it’s been an amazing journey. You’re so freaking humble and beautiful inside and outside!! I love you TAY!! 😘😘
People are never happy. I love when you do these videos, it’s super helpful for someone like me who’s tired of working for others. People need to stop looking for a reason to be mad and use this info the get that bag.
It’s funny how I’ve been recently seeing this video on different hair suppliers pages promoting it as their own. Bc I know where it originated from 🤦🏾♀️
I love this because you have a natural skill for talking to people. We know that there’s a language barrier there but you made it so easy that y’all were both on neutral ground. You have to be a really talented person to construct your words in such a manner. We needed this queen.
I accidentally found this video but Im so glad I found it because I was discouraged at firts but now I believe the weave is calling me to do business. Thank you, you really went in on details asking a start businesses every question.
Instant subscriber! I appreciate your efforts in educating the black woman about the protective styles we use and where they stem from. We are growing and evolving as a race and blackwoman. Please know your work is of value and high quality. I appreciate your professionalism and passion for our hair culture. Partnering with the suppliers and getting their input is a step in the right direction.
OMG... I think you are really smart. I love the way you asked questions so the viewer can understand what's to expect, especially the membership part. I am becoming a member of youth beauty. I hope they give you plenty incentives for the hard work you have put in to make this a great You Tube information session. Thank you for all you do.
You just helped filled in so many blanks for so many ppl,now if theyre serious Abt this bundlelife, they have no excuses,u helping them get a plug,n I loovvvvee it..a good heart wins!!! GOD BLESS
I was subscribed under a different name but I am back. I hope that people research before selling the hair. What you have reported is exactly correct. Some people never take the time. I carry a suitcase with 50 gram samples I had my vendor split the 100gr. I have all those colors as well. You rock. You take the time to help others. You have never been selfish or secretive with your knowledge . This is why you are going to keep being blessed. I just finished rebranding/restructuring my business. It’s going great . Again thank you and bless you.
glamazontay, this is so wonderful that the lady's were so willing to open up their business and let you come and do this. Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to inform and show us how a business such as this works.
Tay first of all...your lashes and this hair and all black outfit...such a look. Second of all and most importantly I LOVE this video because it is so professional and informational. It is absolutely amazing that you bring a great variety of content
So I bought hair from this company simply bc of this video. And honestly everyone knows YTers are full of 💩 when they recommend stuff bc they're getting paid/sponsorships but I have to say this was by far, BY FAR, the best hair I have ever bought in my entire life. My coworkers deadass thought it was my real hair. They provide so much lace with baby hairs in the front that I actually had enough room to create my own realistic looking hairline. The lace melts well when u add some foundation to it. No shedding. Like I don't know if I just got lucky or something but so far I'm loving it. The only problem was it took forever to ship (I almost thought it was a scam bc it had been a minute so it seemed kinda sus 😑). Just thought I should share just in case anyone was wondering if they were actually good or not. 🤷🏽♀️
I really appreciate these types of videos, giving insight into the industry we as black women use the most. I would love to see black women use this video as inspiration to create their own ❤️
Wow when it comes to the hook up....sis is giving us the HOOK UP!! Thanks Tay for always looking out for us, you're a true inspiration! God is going to continue to bless you babe:)
That sucks that all the bundles have the same weight. If that's the case, why have an upcharge for longer length of hair? Then you have to get moreee bundles than normal on top of that in order to get a similar density in style.
Demi Kuzemaru because the whole sale vendor charge the distributor more. Now i can’t say why they charge more but 9 times out of ten if you are buying from a distributor that’s the reason
You are a natural tv host i would totally watch you! You come off super friendly and inviting, interactive and stayed chill even if the people you were interviewing weren’t that comfortable, asking with geniuine interest and listening. Nice to watch ♡
Early squad... I love this... you’re the only one doing things like this. It’s so informative .. you the RU-vid 🐐 lol loving these videos u putting in work for us subscribers
As a new business owner myself I absolutely love her and love her videos.. They have been immensely helpful .. God bless you and best of luck to you !!
Black hair looks gorgeous on you honey!!!. And you are killing that all black outfit!. I love this video. You are always giving us the inside scoop!!!Thank u💖💖
Isn't it funny that black women are just consumers. We should be more involved in the sourcing and distribution of the hair. All that money is leaving the black community and putting their kids through college and building generational wealth in their communities. I encourage black women in particular to get involved, and not just be happy and content being a consumer.Wake up ladies there is a game going on......
But what if if as a black woman I don’t want to be in the hair industry? Why can’t I carry on being a photographer? Would you ask black men to be sneaker/trainer business owners ? 🤦🏾♀️
Hi Ola, you are free to choose whatever career you want, however If you are buying this expensive hair I would strongly recommend that you get involved in the business aspect . Don't just be a consumer.
@@rich.bratt_ that's why you are poor and broke. Also the reason why black women are at the bottom of the economic pyramid in America.RIGHT AT THE BOTTOM
This was an interesting video for real. I really enjoyed the last one as well. I thought the fact that she still sold the janky wig is telling. Thanks for exposing us to something we never would’ve saw!
Thank you Tay for this video. I see you have taken your journalism skills to a whole new level. This video was more like ‘informing’ instead ‘exposing’ . I’m thinking about selling hair and may consider their wholesale program. Thanks again 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Alice Hwang I love wigs and hair but I can’t wear them longer than a day, so I don’t do it too often. I need to wash my hair everyday lol I hate wearing braids too they give me a headache
Hey, Love what you are doing. I heard your guest say they sell Brazilian hair. I am researching the hair industry and I am hearing that Brazilians don't cut, give, or sell their hair to anyone. Brazilian is just the name that they label it with.
I think it’s all Indian hair tbh. Because my aunt has a friend that went to the temples in India to buy hair (this was in 2011), and when she would sell it she would say some of the bundles are Malaysian so that she can get more money but really it was all Indian
Thank you for making this video. It is very informative. One thing I would try to remember when looking for hair pieces is to ask if they are remmy hair. By law they have to tell you if it’s remmy or not. Remmy hair means the hair was processed with the cuticles all facing the same direction. This means the hair will be smooth and not tangle on you. If the hair is not remmy, it usually tangles on you and it becomes frizzy when you handle it. The best quality of remmy hair usually comes from India. Anything other than indian is usually not remmy. It might be beautiful but if you want your monies worth try and get 100% remmy. Again thank you for your hard work. I love seeing the behind the scenes. It is very interesting.
This is soooo smart and educational Tae!!! Not only did you show us but you got an inside scoop on how many mass hair company’s go through their process which will be beneficial for your company (speaking into the future). Great job!💗💚
This was such a great video TAY!!.. I love the direction that your channel is going in thank you so much for trying to be someone that is giving back to the people that support you. This is such an amazing thing to see a Queen trying to uplift and educate other Queens on how to get something out of a industry that has made millions on the backs of black women .. Thank you so much please continue the great work . Ps your beautiful you look amazing and I will be definitely putting some of these resources to use.. 💖😘💖😘💖😘💯
I just saw this video on a FB ad for an entirely different company! (Luvit hair) I'm just starting my own hair line and was just about to go with another company!! I'm so glad I decided to come to your channel to double check!!!
Thank you so much. I been binge watching all your wholesale videos and I am being SCHOOLED!!!!!! I absolutely been lost on how to simply get started and I appreciate the time and effort that went into making these videos. Thank you Glamazontay shawty you the sugar honey iced tea!
This was so insightful. I wish there are more black people in these industries because we consume the most of the hair industry. It would be nice to see more of us really succeed from industries we invest most in and help invest in our communities:)
@Elyse George that would have been soooo dope:)..i always feel some kind of way when i see black people promoting non-black people especially asians who make things that black people consume the most because many of them dont respect us. Like you i would have looooooved to see a bts with a black owner:)
The temple connection is what makes it hard for these to be fully owned and operated by black people. And donations in the US wouldn’t have the same quality as in these different countries because the water in our systems is damaging and it’s much more common for people to dye their hair here
Also if more of us who want to get into that business and in general learn what I mentioned, we’re most likely going to be more respected by them. How can one do good business with another if they don’t respect them? These are some tips based off what I learned in school as an Asian studies major and as a frequent traveler to Asia.
@@muslimahafiz2740 Before a black woman can even get her hands on any hair it's going through this process! For women that actually want to start a hair business... This is the "dope" interview.
Can we take our time out to appreciate all the ppl cultures that donated their hair so it can be used. Without them their hair is no business impossible. Sharing their culture. Great this is how it should be .
Tay, Yassss!!! Hon T, you did that!!! I’m so proud of you Sis and thank you for always keeping us up on game and for the willingness to share your connections with us. I can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve next. Keep em coming, I’m here for it Sis! 💕🤗💕
I can’t thank you enough for this video! You have no idea! Like I want to start a hair business and this video, in its entirety, has helped me get started. You are just so funny and professional and I just respect you and thank you for taking the time to teach us and give us knowledge to start with in regards to starting a hair business. Again, thank you so much. Keep sharing despite the negativity! I’m fully subscribed to your channel. Thank you.
Yes msssss glamazontay I see your work Been following u for a long time time and you achieved so much... you are doing your thing.... if no one said that they are proud of you I’m saying it Keep up the good work👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you for doing this. It's very informative. Please don't stop doing these series. It's awesome and shows off your journalist skills. Keep shinning and growing Queen😙😚😍
Hello, Please understand that there are hundreds of black women who appreciate that you are sharing this information. Just this morning I friend and myself were watching and talking about how we can open are shop with minimum money. I was researching how to get a vendors license; then another video popped up! You are awesome and I am sure God will continue to bless you. Thank you again and please do no some discourage or lead you to discontinue providing us with this information.
Wow😃 Thank you for a great in-depth look inside the Hair business and how to get started. I love the inside transparency and your very detailed oriented interview in order to get all the information one needs to make conscious decision on whether or not to use a particular vender. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽great job.
The fact that you even did this, and no one tell who’s the VENDOR!!! Omg wow god bless you seriously, I know who have created a many hair business for others doing this. Thank you soooo much seriously god bless you
I appreciate the intent to help Black women get on and think entrepreneurially. I would love a conversation about how Asian companies monopolize the beauty industry so that Black hair stylists and aspiring supply store owners don’t really have a shot at making as much as they can make. I appreciate how Black women can do boutiques now though, even if it’s still with a larger boutique. I remember learning years ago that if Black women want to deal with international suppliers (for like products for supply stores) directly, they hit a MAJOR wall. Like you’ll get hung up on your face when they realize you’re Black. In 2019 it’s still a rarity to see Black beauty supply owners. I enjoyed this bc it lets consumers know what to look for when purchasing. I also liked the wholesale video. This series is a good start. It gives consumers a good idea about which companies to look to that seemingly focus on quality so that they can get a good unit.
I've always wanted to open a beauty supply store with my sister. I always thought it was weird that they are all owned by Asian men. But im not here to knock their hustle either. I love Tony! He's so nice, lolol
wow!! this was very informative, I already sell mink eyelashes but i've been thinking about adding hair and other products. This was a huge help! Thank you so much !
