After studying psychology a little, the whole guys being friend zoned all the time thing makes sense. Men often misinterpret women's kindness and friendship as interest because although women express the same feelings with female friends, men tend to be more reserved and rarely physical with their friends. Therefore, they interpret women's version of friendliness as intimate. Especially when they want it to be. You see what you want to see. That's not to say there aren't some women out there who are manipulative cunts and it isn't sad when a guy falls in love with a girl who just wants to be friends, but I think if male female friendships start out with this knowledge about typical gender differences in friendship, there would be a lot less heartbreak.
