Knocking down the Metro was devastating. I saw the green room out the back with the walls covered in signatures and writing from world wide amazing bands which ended up reduced to rubble in the end. The place had amazing vibes and precious memories by so many patrons. Absolute sacrilege to do that to our historic venue.

The RMH really is a special place. The only venue I know that effortlessly looks better during the day than at night. Back when you had Code there, I started the ENS day parties and ran the Bang reunions there (I think we shared some production once or twice) and I still have them to this day. Love the channel mate!

Metro was king of clubs on Melbourne. I promoted there in 1998-2000, Thursday night at GOO, Friday nights for JOY and Saturday night for POP!. It was an amazing club, the mezzanine alone was next level but man was that place awesome! 3 melbourne icons lines up in a row there. Metro. Then to the right was Lambs on Burke and to the left was Fast Eddy's.

I remember being in year 12 when anyway started running (Metro) Incredible venue, you’d rock up hammered be in line for an hour and half and finally get in. Some great memories at that old Theatre, damn shame to tear the guts out of it 😭

I used to work front door security at Metro with Felix alongside Wes and Dave and Paul for a year and a bit. Great memories at the Metro.

In my opinion, Metro is by far the best club in Melbourne's history. Sound, lighting, scale, beauty. Feel extremely fortunate to have DJed there. Brings a tear to the eye when I see it now.

Fkn awesome vid bro. I'm 52 and remember Bourke street from top to bottom, Metro -Courtyard mid to late 90's. Was in my early-mid 20's. RMH had a glass roof out back and Razor (i think) used to run a night there? Great to see you carried the flame. Always look back with fond memories and wild times.

What years were you referring to? I used to work at Bar Le Monde which was a 24-hour cafe bar next to Metro in the early 90’s. Metro was really popular back then. We used to have a great crowd every night and be packed from Wed to Sat all night at Bar Le Monde.

I saw the prodigy at the metro as well, from memory there was a lane way next to it, a mate that i was with was stage diving, they'd pass him to the side and security would kick everyone doing it out the side door and they'd all just go around the front and get let back in again, there was a fairly constant stream of the same people come in past us straight to the front of the stage, they're up with the foo fighters as the loudest bands I've seen
