Ethan doesn't understand that part for the same reason most women don't understand that part; it seems obvious to us. Victims of SA have been talking about this forever(including frat/party culture, rapes on college campuses, the nuances of consent when intoxicated, date rape, pressure, etc.) and society not listening to us is irrelevant to the fact many people have been vocal about this for a very long time. Women are even taught not to go places alone, or at night, cover your drinks, never leave a drink unattended, be careful about who you meet from the internet, tell a friend where you are going, etc. Some guys get angry when you want to get to know them for a time before meeting a stranger off the internet; but we're here literally trying to sus out if we will be raped or murdered if we go out with them. You can't even use the phrase "rape culture" around certain people without them guffawing...but it's a concept that has been discussed for a very long and this term for it was coined in the 70s. I think it's an issue of certain people not even attempting to have empathy for other people; fixing society for everyone does not even seem to be a thought in their head because society works for them. This doesn't mean that they overstep these boundaries with others, but they don't consider it an issue because no one oversteps their own boundaries. They also might not have been taught about body autonomy and consent thoroughly enough. I mean...we learn most of the foundation of these concepts in kindergarten, so we all know what's what.

Though I do agree that Dom is the most responsible, I feel it is important to remember that the “Vlog Squad” is a business that David is the boss of. He created a work enviroment where SA could occur, and be covered up. If this was meant to just a stupid orgy bit for the vlogs, then why did the girls have to *actually* get drunk? Why did he allow that to occur? Why was one of his employees *actually* having sex with them? Its youtube, not p*rnhub.
