"The King" of kings. Great documentary. It is so touching when he received the long lasting Standing ovation before the game against USA. Stig became crying on the bench. He said "I got the opportunity to play that tournament (Canada Cup 1976). I should play the next shift, so i had to keep it together, to not totally break down of emotions". R.I.P. King. You are my biggest idol ❤❤❤
Sad and tragic end. Terrible illness. RIP Börje. You´re a pioneer as a European player in the NHL and one oft their greatest superstars and probably the best two-way defensemen in Swedish-Hockey history.
A true Viking in spirit, warrior, talented, full of humility. I was fortunate enough to see his entire career and through a lot of bad Leaf seasons he gave leaf fans a reason to cheer and be proud. RIP King Borje you were and remain a hero to so many.❤❤❤
My childhood hero's are dying. Growing up in Toronto and Mississauga playing street hockey I was Borje and Sittler and Pamateer. I cut the sports clippings from the paper and loved when there were color pics of the team I adored. Watching the miniseries brought back so many memories for me. I cried. We need more people like you now than ever. All I can say is THANK YOU. Thank You for the joy you brought us watching you and Thank You for being the gentleman you were. RIP Borje.
I just watched the miniseries Borje: Journey of A Legend. OMG…. I LOVED it. 🥺🥺♥️♥️. Already by Episode 2 I loved this guy and was cheering for him in sport life and love. I was born and raised in Toronto during this era but my family was British and we didn’t follow hockey plus they suffered under Ballard so I didn’t follow the leafs though I knew the players names including him and I knew he was Swedish. Now seeing his life story, it’s so compelling!!! During the last episode I cried, cheered and applauded ♥️. After everything he went through and did for his team and Toronto and Euro how he be taken so cruelly too soon from his loved ones and fans??? 🥺🥺🥺. What a humble warrior handsome inside and out. No wonder so many loved him. Rest In Peace King Leaf Nation adores you
I agree Bruce. At my 'young' age I'm not going to be taking on another language... he was such an inspiration to so many of us - someone who deserves all the accolades he's getting. He was an exemplary person and poetry in motion on the ice... my sincere condolences to his family - may his spirit continue to bless all of us ! ❤
