It didn't seem to happen on the BETAFPV board. It would be best to not paste back in the whole diff but just the non-filter and pid settings and readjust your filters and pids manually.

It doesn't cause sliders to not work... Above the sliders there's a drop-down that says OFF, you just change that too RP or RPY

hi I recently tried to flash my meteor65 elrs to rc3 and rc2 and bound to my betafpv elrs 1w module but both of them yaws continuously when taking off.. any suggestions as to why?

Thank you so much for this video. I had just received my HappyModel ES24TX TX module for the Jumper T-lite and the BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro. This is my introduction to ELRS and the first thing I did after installing the TX Module was update to the latest version of ELRS and could not get the Meteor65 to bind. I wasn't sure what version of Betalight to flash to the Meteor65, so it would work with ELRS 2.0.1 and had spent a large portion of yesterday trying to figure out what to do. I was ready to just flash my TX module back to 1.2.1. Also, thank you for the 411 about changing the PID Loop Frequency to 2kHz. Thank you again.

Thanks Albert. You saved me from jumping through so many hoops with this meteor 85 that I just got not realizing that it was version two I was able to buy a module and downgraded to version two, and then your help with the binding for a situation, made it a hell of a lot easier I’m new to ELRS and this helped a lot!

Still back up your settings but don't use them on the RC1 build. Seems some old settings causes problems so start from scratch and put in your settings manually.

I just got a crux35 HD yesterday, already came on 4.3. But I updated to 4.3rc2. It was easy, weird bug though with rxfailsafe and glitchy outputs on receiver tab

AFAIK, there won't be another way to update them because the code is part of the betaflight build which is why I'm updating with Betaflight configurator. This will always be the case with SPI receivers.

Hi Albert ! thank for your work ! For the 60% CPU, you should not worry about, the betaflight devs said that they changed the way it is calculated and it is now more precise (an higher for the same cpu load). I have the exact same board and I fly it at 4kHz without problem

4khz didn't work for me. I had to go down to 2khz to get a stable connection.

I've been telling them it isn't fine. It wont connect at 60%. Overclocking cpu cause s other problems. I can either fly no rpm filter at dshot300/4k or fly rpm filter with dshot150/2k. I rather stay on elrs 1.0 for now.

I own a meteor 65 the upgraded 2022 version and is has a SPI ExpressLRS 2.4G receiver attached (not built in) and I wanted to ask someone this because there is a hard red wire connected to the flight controller ( not the receiver) and I wanted to know if that connected to the receiver and it broke off or it does not connect to the receiver and just the flight controller because like at 100ft it says rtf lost and it is a lot less then this inside a house so I would really like to know if that is the problem

My beta 1000 and beta meteor 65 pro is in the mail via rdq. That quad has the spi fc . Does it matter how I update the module with WiFi or usb.

I broke the ceramic antenna on my meteor65 aio elrs the one which was bound to break if canopy changed. There are four pads which one and what do I solder to replace the ceramic tower. Length 30-33 mm I believe but shielded or Co ax or just a naked wire Thanks Albert for all your help

Three of the pads are connected to ground so use your multimeter in to test the pads against ground and there will be one that isn't. That's the signal pad.

Just look under the board --- only yhe pad that connects to the1 antenna carries thru a hole to the underneath side of the board. This happens to me all the time if you catch it before it burns up the fc I have successfully soldered in a 12.7mm wire and got decent range still. They do tend to start failing though after the *plastic/copper antenna are busted off. Presumably if that's getting busted off then your whoop board is exposed and you are bashing on more than just the antenna on the board. I tear thru these dam things like water lately they are horrible on reliability weather it be HAPPY Model or BetaFpv. But hey, gotta have the ELRS range!

Yes, that's correct. The 4.3-RC1 build has ELRS V2 baked into it for the AIO boards with SPI receivers.

All V2.x versions of ELRS are compatible with each other. However, older 2.x versions may have bugs in them.

Can you use the new firmware also for the Betafpv 1s 12a elrs V1.0 board or only for the V2.0?

The V1 board doesn't have an SPI receiver. It's a full receiver built into the board. So this video doesn't apply to the V1 board.

Now that BF configurator 10.7.2 is out, can one use that configurator instead of the 10.8 to do this? it shows BF 4.3 RC2 on the flash page.

You still need 10.8.0 to change the settings on BF 4.3.X.

Hi Albert question about express lrs and a Darwin whoop board. When I power up my tx and the Dawrwin whoop board it takes about 30 seconds to link up. Is this a firmware issue?

Power up the TX first. If you power up the TX second it normally takes 30 seconds to connect. Make sure the packet rate is the same on both.

Yes it does. I think it's called ES24TX Slim Pro. I already flashed mine to 2.0 with the ExpressLRS configurator. The procedure in this video is not for TX modules. Totally different.

But thought for a second, the slim pro wouldnt be compatible with 2.0 so i wouldnt have updated my aios. Now gonna update everything tomorrow. Thanks Albert 👍👍

Hello I've a Radiomaster TX16s (version 1) and the betafpv expresslrs elrs 2.4ghz 1W Micro Module. I can't change the 10W value, in the module joistick or in the LUA software, Do you have an ideia what maybe is the cause?

Possible some kind of firmware or setup issue. Did you update everything to the latest versions of firmware? Without more details, it's kinda hard to know exactly what's going on here...

I've update (with success) both transmiter (betafpv expresslrs elrs 2.4ghz 1W Micro Module) and receiver (happyModel_EP_2400_RX) in the ELRS Software 2.5.1 version. I've have tha black one of 1W, but I can't change the Power, is fix in 10mW. I'm using the "regulatory Doman EU CE 2400, maybe is his? Is the 3.0.0.-RC1 version already safe?

Betaflight 4.3 just seems to be harder on the CPU load.. My nazgul 5 V2 with f722 on BF 4.2.10 with 8k/8k only ran 5-10% CPU load.. Same settings on 4.3 it runs 45-55%.

@@AlbertKimTV what about this... So my new CRUX35 HD with SPI ELRS... even when it's up and connected(binded) to my tx16s, it says rxfailsafe in betaflight all the time.. I don't get it. Endpoints are set, and the receiver tab does weird glitchy up and down on the throttle and sticks when I move them.

By the way guys, don't bother with RPM filter on RC1. It doesn't work yet.

It should if you set the 2khz pid loop and Dshot300. Won't work on Dshot600. Also some versions of ESC firmware are incompatible. Someone should make a database on all the compatibility problems. I'm sure no one will donate to that cause.

I would contact their support email. I think they use a custom firmware. It might be linked on their website.

When I click FLASH FIRMWARE in the firmware flasher, the progress bar doesn't start going. I am using Betafpv 5A Elrs FC, with DFU mode.

The FC isn't actually in DFU mode. I think that's a bug in the configurator. It shows as in DFU mode, but it's not. You have to manually trigger DFU mode via the bootloader button on the FC and restart the flash and it will work.

Ugh thank you ALBERT!! I'm on an old ELRS from last years rc's I think 8 or 9 before the official release. I have about quads setup on my T Lite some of them are the v1 whoops. I bought a v2 Mob7and now the simple "bind_rx" isn't working. Assume Cuzco I'm on old tx module firmware. I really don't want to update. Can I walk back the new ELRS V2.0 board just like you did here but in reverse? IE want to make the new mob7 bind to my old school ELRS tx that binds to the V1's. It's B.S. it changed and now my old quads all need updates that aren't even needed they fly great as is!

I recommend moving everything to V2. There are a number of failsafe bugs in V1.

@@AlbertKimTV eh well I have vid from today LOL got it all worked out last night put 4.2 back on it and found a an elrs version dump that agreed with my elrs ep1 and t lite module for elrs. Flew 4350ft distance from home in a 3.5 mile round trip! It's my longest flight to date and had one flash warnng of link quality got rssi all the way down to minus 102 dbi (signal loss is minus 107ish i think) and just 20% link quality on the 500mhz packet rate using 250mw elrs power and my video went out on me using an O.R.C Shield 2.5dbi antenna and 6.5 dbi halo rhcp's on the other side of EVO300D Dual diversity goggles.... I gps rescued - it worked immaculately and ascended up to where I got my video back pretty quickly and was able to take control back and fly another 3-4mins home. I'm not much of a video RU-vidr but maybe I'll actually process and post the footage.... nothing major for the experts but for a novice like me it really felt like an accomplishment. It's only my 2nd long range flight ever using gps and flywoo lr4 --- I'm used to smaller stuff 3inch toothpick is big for me lol! Thanks for all your great vids they do certainly help and maybe even more so they inspire me!!! As far as link quality - prolly a combo of me using the 500 packet rate + a VAS rx antenna set on "Omni-Directoinal" (I forgot to flip it to "Long Range" before taking off). 😳 🙏🌋🏅

As for v1 and v2.... I still love v1 and am.happy on it and don't have issues to complain of the way I lost frskys' and whatnot on d8 or d16. Got to be a way to back up a V2 to V1 and I have it sitting here so tomorrow I might see if the firmware is there to do it to a V2. I'll dump all ahead of time just in case have to go back. And flash can go back usually, no? Or you think it's a really bad idea? But in the end your right V2 the way to go as they are discontinuing V1 boards :( I think. I'm still on last year's Betaflight like 10.7 or something --- just like to fly not continually flash and update!

skip that! The new ELRS Mob7 V2 comes with X12 5-1 AIO does not look like any release candidates for that board, let alone one taking back to a V1 that probably doesn't exist on BF. I'm swapping in an EP1 on UART1 and will flash back to my firmware V1 -- that should fly it good enough - adds a gram of weight :( but this is for bashing only really -- i have cut down lightweight versions in 65mm at 14.8g and 75mm at 17.5g ---- those whoops whoop it! ;) Also almost washed that extra weight by swapping to all plastic screws throughout the bird -- but then i added 1.2g RCHP antenna so boom the *nasty gram is back again ;P

hi I recently tried to flash my meteor65 elrs to rc3 and rc2 and bound to my betafpv elrs 1w module (2.2.0) but the meteor just yaws continuously when taking off.. any suggestions as to why?

Depends on the method of connection but it will show up at the bottom of the page just before the build button. It's a drop down menu.

@@AlbertKimTV So I got it bound... however the FC won't arm, and the receiver movements in the receiver tab are EXTREMELY delayed and slow... plus my throttle is flicking up to 800 and back down constantly. I have never seen anything like this!

Need help. I got the boxer with ELRs and it came with the 3.3.0 version i got the Tinynite with elrs with the spi reciever. I attempted to bind and didnt work. I looked online and its because they both need to be up to date. I saw a video on howbto update but what the video failed to mention that it was on how to update the boxer and not the reciever so i essentially used the elrs partioner to update reciever i think i unbricked it by DFU mode. Now the issue is still unavle to update the reciever to 3.3.0. The ELRS configurator keeps giving error when i try to update it and there is no betaflight passthrough. Please need help.

If the receiver on the drone is SPI based on the FC, you have to update the Betaflight version to 4.4. You can read a more detailed explanation on the ExpressLRS website... www.expresslrs.org/hardware/spi-receivers/?h=spi

Help me please.. i bind tx to my crux3 1s successfully.. but my RX not appear on betaflight cnfgurtor.. 3 day now.. still cannot flying my 1st drone.. haha.. is it because wrong setting on my radio, or setting on betaflight?? Im using tx16+hm elrs 1w. Binding to crux3 1s elrs.. sorry my bad english. 😭😭

You're using the wrong version of the configurator for that board. Download this one instead (10.8.0)... github.com/betaflight/betaflight-configurator/releases

I had the same issue with the betafpv meteor 85, try changing the receiver number to 1 (from 0) under the External RF section in the model setup screen of your tx16s

I’ve had bad results just pasting an old diff, I usually go through and delete anything to do with filtering especially cause it’s changed quite a bit over the past months. I get high cpu spikes if I just dump the diff sometimes. But this may be changed with the new RC1

Great video but at 12 minutes you can see your pid controller sliders are inactive. I tried the same method and they are active and working until you paste the old diff into the cli. When I hit save I got the same results as you. Pid controller doesn't work. I tried without pasting the old filter and pid settings everything work perfect. I think you should just paste your aux and port settings from the past and just start from scratch with your pids .

Yes, of course. I assume if you updated the transmitter side you've gotten that already. There's a lot about ExpressLRS I completely skipped because I did older videos and will have future videos.
