Great job! Side note, prep the hair (meaning extend the locs) the day before, so it won't take 8 hours to install.

Tip: don’t buy all those extra products all you need is ..-shine n jam -metal end comb- crochet hook -bobbi boss hair -spring twist or the wave hair (as seen in video ) you can wrap this hair without sealing it with nail glue and g2b . Edit : I do hair and I have a lot of clientele on these distressed soft locs

Lo Dorv . You roll it in between your palm to seal it . And if you tryna deal the part that you tied to make it longer just unravel the bottom loc a little and twist the the loc per the little piece that you have left and then roll it in between your palm . If that didn’t help I’ll find the video and tag you

emaya george so what makes it distressed is the spring twist hair that you wrap around the already locd hair . You have to wrap it loose but not to loose and it will start to create that effect

I just finished installing my 20 inch soft locs all by myself on my 9 inch 4c hair. I followed the same procedure. So satisfying to watch but it gets stressful doing it alone 😄

I do for a living & see all ppl giving you unnecessary tips just complain lol, you do need the glue because overtime(about a week) they will slip, that’s why professionals use it too the only thing is prep your hair the day before other than that you definitely did a great job💞

out of all the tutorials i’m gonna try this one cause it uses the already made loc instead of wrapping like 4 pieces of loose hair that would unravel super easily and it’s more distressed than the water wave hair

Hey guys quick updateeee... you can buy pre extended locs on Amazon from 40-60 dollars depending on the brand. In general locs are way cheaper on Amazon and they are still good quality like the Bobbi boss nu locs 💕💕

@@Dedivalexus yep! those are the preextended ones but beauty supply stores charge and tax so much for those unfortunately. The ones you have to extend are cheaper but I hate taking the time to extend them

Use applicator bottles to moisturize your scalp. Your hair will be fine as long as you keep your scalp moisturized throughout your protective style

Spray bottle and leave in and you can oil your scalp too. I use dry shampoo when I feel like my scalp need to be cleansed cause these are hell trying to wash and dry

Has anyone tried soaking this hair in ACV before install? I wanted to get rid of the alkaline layer that I keep hearing they put on synthetic hair. I’m currently soaking my locs but I see no white residue like I am supposed to. Do these locs not have the alkaline lye on them?
