Two back injuries and the bad idea of changing his racquet in mid season. No surprise he performed that bad, for his standards of course.

Still gave peak Djokovic a run for his money when they played. Shows how well Federer matches up with him.

A 126 MPH serve goes 2-3 millimeters long, for any trained line judge, that can easily look like it skims the back of the line. Extremely slim margin, human error, hence the challenge system's efficacy.

Thomas brunkle u can neutralise every shot on the given day . It’s a good pattern to use Delpos pace to force him hit defensive backhands . Important thou is to be vary ur placement when u aim his forehand. When u feed del Porto to acute angle most of the time u will end up a sitting duck . The goal is to take time away from him by aiming depth and central to allow urself to find the width after or go for width early after his forehand to get him on his wheels

@@paranoid_android6702 I wouldn't say 2010 was a bad year for RF considering his win percentage was in the 80's. He also won the Australian Open and ATP Finals so definitely his level was high. In the other grand slams that year, he lost to all the respective eventual finalists (Soderling at French Open, Berdych at Wimbledon and Novak at the US Open) and coincidentally all the 3 players lost to Nadal in their Grand Slam finals.

You know it's sad when people use Federer's worst year to prop up his rivals. I might as well use Nadal's 2015 season as a reason that Federer and Djokovic are better. It's really unfortunate because Federer had the guts to make it up to face Nadal and even play him while suffering from injury (IW and Rome 2013) while Nadal never repaid the favor during his bad stretch. They only played once in 2015 compared to five times in 2013-early 2014.
