Szoboszlai is our Valverde. He played exactly like Valverde of Real Madrid. Committed in attack, pressing and defending. Look at how he sprinted back to help Trent when Ipswich were counterattacking. Salah excellent! Gravenberch excellent! Don't forget to thank both Arne Slot for the tactical awareness and Konate to come in and straight away win those headers which Quansah was finding hard. It was Konate who was effectively killing off the Ipswich attacks through long balls, setting off a combination of Trent-Gravenberch-Szoboszlai and Salah to influence the game superbly. Really proud of how Ipswich played, came up against one of the best teams in the world, so we’re not too sad or surprised about it, the second half you really showed us the individual and team qualities, which set you so, so far apart from us. Was a good game and fun to watch, hope you guys win the league this season.

Dunno what Szoboszlai did over the summer, whether it's the newish girlfriend or just knowing he has to make a good first impression on the new head coach, but it's like he's back to his form at this time last season. Last season he was great basically from August till start of November, let's hope he can be great for more than a third of the season this time! Here he was massive in the second half provding multiple chances and one actual assist (could have been more). Salah also back to "normal" and Jota doing Jota things as usual, just, (cliche) gotta keep him fit. Gravenberch surprisingly good as defensive midfielder. Trent, some sublime passes as usual.

The way szoboszlai defended at 3:36 is top notch..

I always felt that under Klopp our midfielders are too static not ready to receive the ball or only think abt next pass after receiving the ball. The style under Slot looked more exciting.. midfielders know where and who to pass instantaneously and move into position to receive ball and not static and wait for ball to come.
