I think we need to lay off the grief we Leeds fans dish out to Meslier. He is no doubt one of the finest young goal keepers in the world currently and is a French international. We are lucky to have him. His problems recently are that he’s never had the protection of competent defenders at the club. Defenders, most who are, or were well into their 30s. Some, who also are club captains and deputy captains. They have never really protected him. He has basically been the only half decent defender at the club for three years, and he’s the goalkeeper!! He was sensational in the first season back in the Premier League and only 19-20 years old. Once we finally sort out the defence with defenders who can defend and command the their defensive areas, we will see Mes’ back at the top.. We urgently need to find or breed the next Woodgates, Radebes, Ferdinands, Kelly’s, Sterlands……

Ayling and Ampadu terrible for first goal. Ayling not anywhere near rb and instead of getting back and closing the man down just ran into a space where strujik already was. And ampadu should be holding on the edge of the box or just inside it to cut out any late runners that arrive for a pull back simple stuff. We saw goals like that numerous times last season aswell what’s the excuse now we aren’t in the prem?
