It’s good to start with the Malle Moto where the spirit of the Dakar is always displayed. The Dakar with all the stories make us forget it will be done in a couple of days from now. All the best for the riders and drivers see you all safe in the finish line.

Probably for the best. Dakar coverage has been great, this year. A groan here and there but who doesn't love a pun and it's good to keep things light hearted. Well done to everyone involved. Double act with Carlton Kirby, next year?

not sure if they would even feel comfortable in a factory team 😂 this is just such an awesome, insane class. i would love to hear more from those riders! sure the factory riders are under extrem stress and have to give 110% when they are on the bike. but the malle moto has kept a bit of that pure adventure flair, i think.

Когда Сергей Карякин с Антоном Власюком попадает в очень страшную аварию, машины лоб в лоб на скорости 100км/ч, когда сходит Максимов в зачете квадроциклов, идущий на 3 месте в зачет на секундочку, по причине поломки двигателя, а в обзорах Дакара ни слова, ни пол слова, и показывают какие-то, типа "мучения", с какими-то починками на трассе, понимаешь, что у них какой-то свой Дакар, и какие-то только свои сходы. Похоже на медийное игнорирование. Радует, только одно. Радует, что КАМАЗ-Мастер отыгрывается по полной и за всех. Такое уже не проигнорируешь. И я безумно рад за Камаз.

Epilepsy Warning! Strobe Flashing whole picture 01:56 Please pin this or add it to the description, it is a pretty extreme edit transition if you are affected by rapidly flashing lights. I don't get seizures, but in full screen on my TV the flashing images did make me feel sick! Absolutely love love love these videos though, keep up the great work, best dakar coverage ever! Oh and the commentary, excellent! *edit* I was probably sitting too close to the TV though! :)

Great question Ken. It's because his T3 broke down on one of the early stages and couldn't finish. His T3 was towed to the end, which means he was penalised a few hours and is way out of contention. But he's allowed to still enter each day. That's why he's won sooooooooo many stages but is nowhere near leading the overall 👍🏽

Why dont you shine more light in the winning team on the side by sides Chaleco Lope?? we only see the kid (great driver). Even the winner of the lesser category gets more screen time. To win a Dakar its not easy you need a lot of expirience and you dont have to be the fastest every stage!

They showed the section "The Rule Breakers" from 2002 Dakar rally. Why they never show the other side of the story? In previous stages Kleinschmidt blocked Schlesser for several 100 km's for Masouka to keep and extend the lead. It was great rally up to that point. Why the politics? Schlesser didn't play nice at the end, but there was a reason why he did it. Mitsubishi and Kleinschmidt didn't play nice either and they didn't deserve the victory.

The story of the both sides makes the rally a legend and what it is not just one. Bad officiating, bad rules its part of it. It happened 20 years ago, why not to tell the truth?

Every time, you show or introduce those self-maintaining bikers class, they change engine oil. I wonder, how often they replace it, is there really need to replace it at middle of rally?

They replace motor oil every day after finish stage. Also they have to clean air filter on daily basis.

@@DanielSanchez-cp2zp @Patrick Cooper It seems too much to me. Do those bikes have so tiny oil sump or why so often? I thought, enduro bikes can drive longer distances, without replacing after every little drive & wasting huge amount of oil.

@@SiiliViin Those engines are under huge loads. If you would demand so much power from your daily car, the on board computer would calculate a much shorter oil change intervals. Know of a guy who drove in the shop with bald rear tires complaining about abnormally short oil change interval and asked to finance it under warranty. In the end of the day, every engine has to live by the laws of physics. All it takes is one metal flake to end your race, so you better change that oil as often as you can. And the oil is not wasted, they recycle it.

This is just a big rally = the spirit of Dakar is gone. Time to go back to a race with a start point, and end point, paved routes off limits, and the rest is up to the riders/drivers.

Seems incredibly dangerous to force so many to compete while exhausted from lack of sleep during an already grueling schedule. All it takes is misjudging one corner, bump or hill before a catastrophe, yet this is simply seen as the cost of participation.
