Don't let Pogacars charm fool you. Tadej doesn't serve mercy for any of his opponents. Even when he leads a stage race he will keep winning stages beyond any doubt. He is the best rider in the world and an extremely competitive person.
@@oskardavidmannovolesen4759 And what's wrong with that? He's a winner, wanting to win, that's what elite sports is all about. The fact that he's always gracious in defeat and never makes excuses, shows his true colours.
@@oskardavidmannovolesen4759 Fair. Although I think a bit of pity, or at least sympathy, is natural when you see a great champion brought low. But it's all part of the game in the end.
@@Soli11 it was different when WVA has to work for Jonas at the earlier part of the stage. When it comes to the sprint, both WVA and La Porte are more tired compared to the other sprinters who wins.
These past two years TDF has been incredibly beautiful to watch. The disputes for leadership and the public have brightened this event even more. Wow! The level of Tadej and Jonas is incredible. I'm rooting for them a lot :D😍😍🤩🤩
I feel sad for Tadej but that’s how the Tour goes. Sometimes things happen and you can’t keep up. I think the crash earlier in the stage affected him. Congrats to Jonas though!!! He is literally flying now!!! 🎉
"I'm dead. I'm gone" - Tadej I know this is how sports is but it's just so sad seeing this. Congrats to Jonas! Tadej, I hope to see you on the next grand tours winning it. This is not the end man.
I would love seeing him at the Vuelta, also I think it would be good for his morale because realistically looking at it he should dominate it. I think loosing 2 Tour de France in a row which also is his last 2 grand tours must be a hit to his morale and even though I’m a Vingegaard fan I would love seeing him come back next year even better and see these 2 greats battle until the last stage!!
I'm Danish and of course I want Jonas to win - but Tadej cracking today was just heartbreaking! He's an amazing rider - I hope he comes back and gives Jonas a run for his money. :) They're both amazing - But Jonas killed it the last two days!
This sport is amazing thanks to so many reasons but i think this sportsmanship among the fans just tops everything. I feel you man, I too feel for Pogi and hope that he falls on his feet. All that said, Jonas is a beast and deserves the yellow jersey. Fucking love the both of them
Not showing the critical incident where TdF motorbikes and red car stopped Jonas for minimum 10 seconds? TdF puts astronomical demands on the riders 24/7 and then you cannot even own up to your own mistakes by showing them when they have a real impact for the ones affected? Shameful decisions by the editors of this clip! YOU should be fined and removed as well! Appalling! THEY prepare for a year, not least Jonas that it affected, and YOU cannot own your own mistakes and show them!? Hard rides, fines for peeing, ridiculous low prize money and NO accountability for YOUR mistakes. I am beyond unimpressed. Hypocrites!
Wow. Shocking. Jonas' performance in the TT was shocking, and then to see him absolutely break it wide open like this on the Queen Stage... wow. Hard to see Tadej so broken -- he's clearly empty and his spirit finally broke today. It would take an absolute miracle (or an accident) for him to turn that around. What a dramatic TDF!!
thank you for making these extended highlights videos. they are absolutely amazing. thumbs up to the editors and everyone involved in bringing these to life.
congratulations to the stage winner Gall. It has been a great tour, but JV has it wrapped up now barring disaster/covid. Pog did his very best, and I salute him!!
Even though I'm mostly cheering for Vinge, this was heartbreaking to see. The ridiculous duel these two have been having this TdF deserved better than to end like this.

Pogacar is a winner and a real winner knows also how to loose with dignity. Vingegaard is stronger by now and Pogacar accepeted this with pride and dignity. All respects to him.

Jonas didnt make fun when he beat poggi , like poggi did find it funny to make fun of wva in the start , think he was to cofidence , now a lesson two year 😂
Ciccone, Jonas, Pogi, your beautiful battles among the mountain crowds in the summer french roads for the two most legendary jerseys in the history of sport, will never be forgotten. Thanks for everything.
I knew Vin would be good this tour looking at his prep work. But I didn't imagine he'd be this dominant. I must admit I felt sorry for the Pog, seeing him suffer that much. Awesome Tour nonetheless.
I knew that Pogacar made a technical mistake during the time trial yesterday and now today's stage finishes it off. The TDF is over, congrats to TJV on a deserved win. van Aert is my favorite, wish he would have won more stages this year, but overall another great Tour.
Sorry, but a technical mistake is 15 sec. (bike change), 1:38 is Jonas handing Tadej his backside on a platter. I like the young man, I truly do! I think he is great for our sport, but I'm sure there are plenty of watts left in those legs for the future. But, THIS round, goes to Jonas. We're seeing an epic battle despite which rider people are initially rooting for/expecting to win.
Congratulations Jonas for winning the Tour de France 2023! He executed his strategy to perfection. He wisely conserved his energy for two weeks, doing just enough to keep ahead of Tadej. Jonas waited patiently for Tadej to eat into his slim lead advantage, just sticking to Tadej during races. After luring Tadej with a false sense of hope that the rivalry is closely matched, Jonas finally fired his big guns with a dominating time trial and a massive climbing effort in stage 17, ending up with a 7-minute advantage. What a tactical battle this tour has been, Jumbo-Visma executing their team strategy to perfection. Jonas playing the long strategy to the end when it really mattered. He indeed showed he is the strongest rider of them all, a worthy champion and a sign of things to come.
Estou torcendo pelo Pogacar nesse Tour, mas agora esta praticamente impossível recuperar esse tempo. Vingegaard está imbatível e muito estratégico nesse Tour.
I feel for pogi.. my favourite rider since his first tdf win.. vingegaard is just on a different level atm.. i hope pogi can bounce back from this tour..
The slow motion of Jonas' face crossing the finish line - you can tell he didn't belive one word he said in the interview. His facial expression was like, f**k me, I got this - again.
Congrats to Jonas, bummed for Tadej, but this is twice where a motorbike or car has impeded the tour. Once with Tadej, the other with Jonas. This needs to be sorted out.
Barring a serious mechanical or crash out … it is still a long way to Paris, Vinegar might run out of lemon juice! BTW Vinegar is not a mispell or spellcheck. He’s malty & juicing… that’s why Tom Domoulin retired he knew a special lemon juice was in Roglic, now Vingegaard… Wout been off it this year so not to affect expected baby
Sad to see the comments on doping... only because your favorite cyclist is not winning it doesn't mean that the first place is doping. It's even offensive to these athletes given the amount of time and effort they put to get to this fitness level. Pogacar is out of form because of his wrist injury and the fatigue on week 3 caught up on him. He will get better after this setback, but for now congratulations to JV.
At this time, 12 minutes after your post, doesn't appear a single comment talking about doping in the comment section. I don't know what are you talking about.
Mate there's so much doping in every professional sport. You're so naive to think it's all hard work. Doping is so much more developed than testing.. why is like 90+% of the peloton "asthmatic" in your opinion...
@@Gerclunyeah. I was also reading the previous comments prior to this and not see a single one. Maybe he's just hand picking those comments from other videos or platforms and telling here.
I didn't watch the stage so I think Jenas attacked pogi and won 6 minutes but what I see is Bogey dead at this point Jenas is strong this year and deserves it congrat jenas
Tadej went all out to early in the first and second week for minor bonus seconds while Jonas remained calm . Now in the third week Tadej is paying for his efforts.
Both of them put effort even in the early stages, but Vingegard is just too strong. If you compare it with the TdF in 2022, Pogacar conserved much energy in the early stages this year compared to last year. Crack is crack.
@@ddddsawdsaw Tadej conserved more energy this year ?? He came back from injury , attacks on the first stage of the tour for minor bonus seconds . If Tadej rides more conservative he can beat Jonas . But if he keeps wasting energy for minor bonus seconds then this is the result .
@CaptainGK007 his fall in the early part of the stage may very well be the main reason why pogi cracked today. He is known to have low tolerance to heat which is also another huge factor. If he didn't fall earlier on, he might not have cracked or even if he did due to the heat he might have not lost too much time; maybe just 3-4 minutes behind jonas compared to the 6 minutes.
@@rain.yell_dp Even if Tadej had not been in an incident , yesterday TT showed he was getting tired and close to cracking . The only chance of winning TDF 23 against inform Jonas was to ride conservative from beginning of the tour . Especially in this heat .
that crash at the beginning of the stage is something not common for a rider, and that happens to pogacar, that must have effect a lot to his body in this stage.
Why dont we ever see TV shots of the guys at the back (i.e. sprinters) suffering like dogs to make it up the mountain & within the time limit...?! Of course the riders up the front are great...😂
Censorship on this page when criticising TdF and the editors here for not showing motorbikes and the red TdF car obstructing Jonas on his ride for minimum 10 seconds! Shame on YOU!
Lokking back ,know it comes , winge is amstrong winge is doped 2 days before poggi was rulling ,now he isnt there must be something wrong , but have you listen , jumbo even said it ,it wil be stages 16 and 17 ,
WONDER ;; ;) WHERE IS ALL THE FRANCE & ITALIAN STALLION CYCLIST. THEY GO HOME TO MAMA AND IT PASTA AND PUT THE CYCLING LIFE I A VINE BOTTLE ;) Miss the Gimondi time and Coppola ( spelling) time etc. sad NO France cyclist can dominate anymore ... or Italian... Belgian is NOT to forget too...

About the video edition, I really prefer more sounds from crew, runners and enviroment aroun and no so much soundtrack effects,, is the tour,, no a fuckin Marvel movie..the soundtracks effects are unnecessary
it's been 20 years since the EPO scandals. let's give these riders a fair mind. JV and TP were both tiny children back then. It's not fair to any rider to keep accusing them of thing they had no part in. Enjoy the sport or don's watch it - up to you - but these riders have trained their entire lives to be here - don't ruin their sport or their effort withour just reason.
After all these years watching Lance, reading The Secret Race, seeing Wiggins, Froome and other "unbelievable, unreal, otherworldly" performances with Vingegaard now on the forefront of an alien lead. You'd have to be really naive to think what we see is "pan i agua". I love the tour and cycling, but let's not fool ourselves haha. There is nothing new under the sun.
Vingegaard is for sure a great cyclist however his form resembles me the times of Armstrong, I believe that this team and athlete in particular have found an artificial competitive advantage. Riding a hilly time trial in 41/42 km/h?? common!! Only dumb or people not familiarized with cycling believe that these guys are clean and this is a transparent sport nowadays. It wasn’t it is not and it will never be. The brutality of it leaves no other choice on the table. Having this in mind, I still love the sport
