As an introvert I completely understand why he loves standup and performance in general. If you can keep people AT A DISTANCE and make them laugh or smile, that is pure gold to us. As a gay man I also understand why he's sick of the "first black writer" questions. I want whatever creative work I do to be judged on its own merits, as much as possible. I'll accept any "affirmative action"-type bump-up that is given me, but to echo Michael I don't wake up in the morning thinking about how gay I am and what a unique perspective I have on everything.

I understand your perspective on your answer to the 1st Black writer from where you live, but you are the only black person I'm guessing, that took all the racial tension and then could or be aloud to write and tell the jokes to Colin. We all laughed until we almost puked. I'm white and not sure how your black fans felt.. But to be on live TV and make Colin out to be the racist.. Too much.. I'm convinced that many of us from 2016 ... to recent ( Trump/ covid/ political crazyness)... Didn't die of a heartache or end up in a mental ward because of Colin, you, And many more on snl ...
