“Give It Up For The Gals”…..Female Icons Who Helped Other Women along the way…I attended a well known small university in the PNW in the early ‘70s….my Junior Year I declared a major in Education/History….I wanted to teach High School…….when I attended my first meeting for declared majors…..I opened the door and saw twenty pairs of male eyes staring at me and whispering “what in the heck is she thinking?”……it was women like the Fallopian Jungle Crew that gave me a lift-up as I listened to NPR…..later in life I went to one of the NPR Road Shows in theaters around the country….to listen to NT and the crew……today as a 72 year Happy Ager I am listening and soaking up the memoir that NT wrote featuring RBG…..and giving my 12 year old Granddaughter the age appropriate “Who is RBG” for Christmas…..I remind all my GrandBabes….both male and female…..“we stand on the shoulders and are thankful for doors and ceilings that have been opened for us by others so that we can pay it forwards”….

So RBG stayed on the court -- F O R M O N T H S -- with lung cancer during the Trump Administration, a terrible decision which paved the way for Amy Coney Barrett to replace her. This, unfortunately, is a good-sized dent in her legacy.

This is exactly what I would imagine an NPR employee looks like. Bland, tasteless, willing to say anything someone shoves in front of them regardless of it's truth.
