It's because when filming the Scene the Crew didn't know how to Safely Operate the Spinosaurus Animatronic so they Accidentally tore the Head off of the T Rex Animatronic. It's said that Hydraulic Fluid spilled everywhere as if literal blood. This Scene was in reality no where near done filming and that shot of the Spinosaurus slapping the T Rex(0:49) is said to be Seconds before it Lost it's Head

I like how the beginning of the fight had the two roaring to see which one would back off and only fighting when neither would, feels a lot more natural than most of the World fights.

0:42 21 years later and i’m just now seeing this magnificent footage. wish it was more longer where the Rex puts up more of a fight and Spino uses more of its claws for defense and possibly more footage of Grant in shock to what he’s in the middle of.
@Samson 92 stop being a rex fanboy/girl, this spino endured a plane hitting him, and then burned alive. This spino has genes that makes it not realistic, but stronger. This rex is actually fully grown, the novels and scripts call it a fully grown tyrannosaurus.
the fight was supposed to be more longer but the animatronic spinosaurus ripped the animatronic trex head off by a mistake and that's why the fight was short but spinosaurus was supposed to win either way

Would have been real nice, that sounds a little like the first book where Alan and the kids had to be in the lookout for both Rexie and the younger T Rex in Nublar, I would have loved to see something like that in JP3 both the T Rex and the Spino stalking the group
The reason people got upset is because jack hornor pushed his t.rex scavenger theory & made the rex super weak against the spino, who jack thought could kill a t.rex. even tho t.rex has the strongest bit force of any animal. But I do agree the reaction over this was very childish & I'm 14 for god sakes lol
the fight was supposed to be more longer and brutal but spinosaurus was supposed to win either way but they didn't purposely shorten the fight, they didn't had a choice while the movie was in a rush to finish.
@@nova_nite9586Yeah the Spinosaurus animatronic was way more advanced than the old Tyrannosaurus animatronic. It was the most powerful animatronic built by Stan Winston Studios for the Jurassic movies.
This edit fits better, because you see why the spinosaurus is oddly side on when the t rex goes for the neck, when they were just standing in front of each other.
I think the scene at 00:42 was just an alternate version of the scene where they stop and roar for a second. The Spino roaring looks almost exactly the same.
As a Spino fan watching this magnificent scene as a kid, I can feel all every Rex fans' absolute disappointment and anger seeing the T-Rex loss across the world. 😑
As a Rex fan I love this scene. This spino is not paleo-accurate, but I think it’s okay since hell they got indo raptor and stuff now. This fight is the coolest Dino fight in cinema in my opinion.
As a t rex fan i am angered but i could see this fighr happening in their own eras too, what makes less sense to me is how the spino can snap the neck of PURE MUSCLE on the t rex. Fr thats the only bizzare part, the less bizzare part is what would have been a fatal bite to the spino on the neck, but none the less it was still a good fight. Rip rexy ❤
The T. rex looked like tarbosaurus because he was green I loved the look of spinosaurus he just looks so cool I loved the look of him ( spino is my favourite )

And what sucks is at 0:53 was when the T-rex could have easily won this, the Rex had a hold of the Spino’s neck, it was actually biting into the neck and making it bleed but somehow at 1:02 the Trex let go. Looking at the scene further shows Spino didn’t even force the T-rex off him, he just let go on his own. Jack Horner just hates T-rexes bro, but hey having an outdated reconstruction of a Spino chasing you down across the island is a lot less stereotypical than the T-rex doing it.
Can’t believe people still complain about it literally like 21 years later, it’s like people have a lot more respect for the spjnosaurus now and everyone wanted it in dominin but it wasn’t but it deserved it, just get over it spinosaurus is a lot more popular then it was before…

T-Rex has the most powerful bite of 431,000psi while Spinosaurus doesn’t have the muscles to break the neck of another dinosaur die to how the skull was designed. No matter if you think the 2001 Spinosaurus was stronger or not, T-Rex jaws were built to crush bones and would have crushed Spino’s neck and if not would have snapped the neck and if not then would have stayed clamped on until it bled out, you can even see bite marks on Spino’s neck when the teeth were in the Spino’s neck.
For those who don't, originally þhis fight was supposed to have kicks, tail swipe and if I remember or not, punches. Unfortunately they changed to what we saw in the movie.

Wrong, off camera, the Spinosaurus animatronic tore off Freddy's head, so they couldn't record anymore, since thinking about it they would spend more budget to repair it and you have to remember that the film was rushed, and why spend budget in repairing an animatronic if at the end of the day 80% or less of people say that the movie is crap that doesn't deserve to be hated?

I both love and kind of hate this fight. The trex fans literally will not relent about this fight ANYWHERE you go. A giant gorilla kills a trex? Fine. Spinosaurus kills a trex? Everyone goes insane.

Many people says that's Junior when really Junior would be living on the Northern side of Isla Sorna, The T.rex family inhabited the northern side of Isla Sorna, with larger plains where they can hunt; while the Spinosaurus and JP3 rex inhabited the more southern-western side of the island, which has dense cloud forests. It’s unlikely that Junior traveled that far to be separated from his original family - and eventually trespassing into unknown territory and killed by the Spinosaurus. Plus, the age of the T.rex in JP3 doesn’t seem to match up with Junior. InGen created 10 T.rexes on Isla Sorna; one of them was killed by a pack of Velociraptors after being sick and immobilized, according to one of the spin-off books. It is likely that the T.rex murdered by the Spinosaurus was just one of the remaining 9 rexes on Isla Sorna rather than Junior himself.
This fight probably wouldn’t have been as controversial if they had just left in the extend cut of the fight because the extended cut portrays The Spinosaurus as an actual animal trying to avoid a fight with the T.Rex at all costs but had no choice once the Rex charged in making it kill it justified It would’ve been more realistic since that’s what real animals go through every single day….but no Jack Horner and Joe Johnston had to make the Spinosaurus into a bloodthirsty hyper-rabid beast and it’s just sad The fight wouldn’t have been as hated or controversial as the final cut of the fight if the paleontologist and Director wanted to make the animal more of an actual animal trying to survive and avoid a fight at all costs instead of a bloodthirsty beast that kills everything and anything around it Sure it would’ve still been hated but not to the degree as the final films cut of this fight because at least T.Rex fans and Jurassic Park fans would’ve somewhat respected this scene because 1. It showed the T.Rex and Spinosaurus trying to intimidate the other into backing down 2. The Spinosaurus had no other choice once the T.Rex charged into the fight to attack 3. The animatronics making it more realistic 4. The T.Rex put up a fair fight 5. The Spinosaurus in this cut was justified into killing the T.Rex since it wasn’t going to back off It could’ve made the Spinosaurus a lot more of a popular and likable species of dinosaur because it wasn’t seen nor portrayed as a bloodthirsty monster but rather an animal that tried to avoid a fight with another predator but had to go into fighting when it started to attack Like if you agree
So… this means spinosaurus ripped apart the plane and it’s passengers because he was trying to save the guy before the plane hit him but in doing so got hit himself and thus had no choice but to kill everyone! Lol maybe but I always thought the spino in jp3 was a carcharodontosaurus spinosaurus hybrid, a little genetic mix up during mosquito blood extraction….
Although I love the scenes with the animatronics I’m kind of glad they left it out. It seems janky, clunky and really fake. The CGI was definitely a better choice, it looks more realistic.

This is my own rendition of an "extended fight", not a deleted scene. Though if you're asking why the fight was shortened, was there was technical problems with the animatronics such as damage done to the Rex.

If the rexy always win then the audience will be bored. In reality, rexy can easily win the fight with the spino as rexy's biting force is much more powerful.
I love the extents battle of the CGI creatures. The animatronics… I love them… but they don’t do well in scenes like this. It’s hard to get dynamic movement out of them for a battle like this. I mean… they tried… and the Spino rig broke the Rex rig.
The thing is, this would never happen. Spinosaurus was bigger, but walked on all 4's and was nothing more than a large fish eater. Tyrannosaurus Rex was was bidepal and had the most ludicrously deadly teeth/bite force of any terrestrial predator that has ever lived. T Rex would have wiped the floor with Spinosaurus, had they ever met in reality.
I really hate this scene, I can't stand to see people saying it's good because no matter how big or how strong the spinosaurus is it has absolutely no chance of beating a t rex. The t Rex had teeth around 12 inches long. The spinosaurus had teeth just over 3 inches long. If it had to bit the t rex it would to a maximal scrape or two. The T rex bits the spinosaurus multiple times. With the teeth, it has it could kill it in with a single clamp. This scene is not very good and no one likes to see a spinosaurus overpower a t rex. 0:53 would be the actual death point for a spinosaurus
Stop bitching about it already the Jurassic park/World series isn’t even accurate, People like this scene because they thinks it’s cool, and I like the spinosaurus, so trying to “accurately” say what would happen if these were the real dinosaurs isn’t even possible as they both lived in separate times in and different continents, stop hating on people for liking something you thot
it's been inaccurate since the first jp movie, even the trexes bite force in Jurassic franchise is not as powerful as reality, if it was reality then the dinosaurs would look different and their abilities would be different too. if u want accuracy then watch documentaries, not Hollywood films.
