*I've ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED this whole series. I've watched the whole playlist. I tried startimy own because I always keep a couple composition books around. I did about 6 acrylic paint background pages, but they all stuck together! The paint was dried after doing each too.* 😕
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your encouragement! Acrylic paint can leave a tackiness, especially glossy. I use a hair dryer to get it really dry. There is a wax product out there (that I've never used) that is supposed to help with sticky pages. I did have a few pages stick together that peeled a little paint when I opened the page. But, I just embraced it as a grunge effect. 😄
All I could think of is, "boy! She really likes color!" 😂😂 I wish I could be brave enough to use color like that. It's weird because I'm really drawn to these colorful pages but when I start anything I seem to only use pastels and other "soft" colors. I wonder why? Anyway, ya, I've enjoyed watching you do all these works and I really admire your process. I'm glad you did this walk through to sort of re-cap the whole project. Now I'm looking forward to whatever project you decide to do next! Oh! I have another quote that I've used in the past. My daughter actually said this to me. Well, she said it to her son but I overheard it. "You can't talk yourself out of a situation you've acted yourself into." I thought that was brilliant! lolol Feel free to use it if you so desire. Have a good one!
Oh my goodness, that quote speaks to me soooo perfectly this morning. I acted myself into a mess. Ugh. You should totally experiment with color more if that is something that appeals to you! Nothing wrong with pastels, but listen to that urge to explore! I understand how we can get stuck in a comfort zone artistically, feeling a little nervous to try something different. That's when I remind myself that art is all about experimentation! Thanks for watching!
Hi Erin. I enjoyed seeing all your beautiful pages and the chat! I'm excited about trying this myself. i'm going to watch the slide show version now🙋💜🙏
I LOVE this journal! So much inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing with us, you have inspired me to start a journal like this myself! Can't wait to see what is in store for the future. Thanks again!
I’m so sad to see this end, I truly enjoyed the entire process, you are so real, talented and entertaining.. I binged this whole thing yesterday, I look forward to seeing what else you do. Ok, one confession that I had a problem with is the music, I enjoyed you talking much more, I watch with my headphones so when you put it to music it kills my ears…but I must say it was all so worth it.. talk more, your real and people appreciate that. Thank you for doing this. Because of this I FINALLY broke into a insert that’s been in my regular TN for more then 2 years, I’m so excited about doing it and ironically it’s for quotes and poems but I knew I wanted to do something different other then just writing them, I’ve done 6 pages since yesterday and am LOVING how they are turning out. Thank you Thank you, I’m going to checkout your Facebook as well. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. ❤
Thank you so much for taking the time to make such an encouraging and thoughtful comment. I am so happy you were inspired! I struggle with finding the right music (that's free and not too cheesy). Was it the volume? I appreciate that feedback, I will start lowering the volume level. I JUST started editing with headphones and also noticed it was louder than I thought. I have started my second comp book art journal, so there will be more to come! (Just recovered from vacation, so planning on getting back at it this week) Have a wonderful day!
I CANT GET ANYTHING DONE!! I cant stop watching…😊😂… yes it was the volume.. and yes I found your new series, on 13 now… it’s very refreshing. Thank you again and you also have a wonderful day!!
