After the storm, it became a very sunny day on Jan 23! We went to Vocation Island to have completed the loop of the island, amazing views and very relaxing. In the afternoon, we went to Ocean Beach again for a walk and for the sunset, wonderful.
On Jan 24, 2024, we returned the rental car and took the airport shuttle bus to the San Diego airport. Our flight from San Diego to San Francisco was delayed for over 45 minutes, causing tremendous problems for our connecting flight. UA ground staff rebooked us with an alternative flight in case we would not be able to catch the connection while we could still try with the original booking. We were very much touched by the passengers' kindness on the flight from San Diego to San Francisco! There were 6-7 passengers who had very tight connections, at the request of the flight attendant, all passengers who needed not to transfer or had sufficient time for catching a connecting flight were asked to sit down on their seats giving the priority to us who had tight connections. All passengers did exactly what the attendant had requested. We had only 20 minutes left, so we ran from F gates to D gates at San Francisco airport, fortunately, we were the last passengers boarding the aircraft. Very grateful to passengers on the UA flight from San Diego to San Francisco on Jan 24, 2024. Otherwise, we would need to stay an additional 3 hours at San Francisco airport.
