@Miranda Detailing, thanks for doing a phenomenal job on my baby. It is surreal getting to relive the experience again. You have now done my car as well as my wife's Telluride. When its time, we will most definitely be back!
That freaked Me out a bit seeing it’s mid August at the time of viewing. I have some of Koch Chemie’s products. I’ll give them a try soon. Great video as always. Thank You for sharing. Terrific work.
I just did an Iron decon on my 20yo WJ Jeep and it was amazing watching all the Iron dissolve away! Just doing that step made my paint feel sooooo much smoother.
Phil, this was one of my favorite videos, love how it turned out. Also, I really like how you work with your wife and the banter between you two.. Great example to others out there.. Thanks for all you do.
guy I know used to drive as a transporter. He has told me stories you would not believe. Told me he was transporting to a new car dealership. One of the hydraulic lines blew a fitting. sprayed fluid over one of the vehicles. His boss told him to pass it through a car wash a few times.
That is one beautiful looking car and that's coming from a Challenger owner. That stuff at 15 minutes, could it be fall out and the dealer didn't use fall out remover or something when they did their prep work. When i bought my Challenger, it was lightly used with 10k on it and the dealership had it parked at their off site compound which was next to a concrete plant. There was a nasty fall out layer on all the flat surfaces and it looked a bit like what you showed. My detailer had to polish the whole car to remove it.
Thank you sir for all this information and I wanna appreciate it the way you explain how to use the product it’s amazing product and you are the professional sir thank you to teach me you listen today do you have a nice day I’m from Los Angeles it’s amazing job professional
Hi. They are the SPTA Polishers. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qtfKFjwaGKc.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Afd3qz3JQj4.html
Hi Phil i am about to apply tec 580 to my car. It will be my first time applying a ceramic coating. Awesome video and very informative. Wondering if you have any other videos featuring that type of ceramic coating. Thank you!
Hi. Cool! That coating is super easy to use. It’s very similar to Gtechniq CSL and EXOv5 in application and removal. So if you search our channel for ceramic coatings will find tons of videos on them
Beautiful looking car so much better.. ive just getting into doing my car and it's looking good for 12 year old thats outside all year round.. plus I'm 70 year old lady and I love it...thank you for your tips...
I agree with that rinsing, foaming, then rinsing is unnecessary, just prerinse then contact wash. But whatever makes it enjoyable😊. Beautiful Machine tho!!
I used to do just what you are saying, and would be pissed when I would see all the swirls on a vehicle that had just been polished weeks before. I then started foaming and rinsing in between my pre-rinse and contact wash and it is considerably noticeable that no new swirls or marring is being introduced. that little extra saves on having to re-polish a vehicle and remove valuable clearcoat.
Phil and Jess awesome job great tutorial and explanation for new comers and mobile detailers that do this on a daily base awesome finish looks outstanding as always be safe God bless William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr give me a call
I think you just sold me on that Koch Chemie line. Been eyeing it for a while. I’ve also heard quite a few people saying the paint on those Camaros can be real finicky. Nice work 👍 also was that a new Ethos coating I saw when you were showing your coatings? Guardian? Never heard of it
Hello sir! Just wanted to let you know that Metal Coat has been reformulated and is now a 3 year coating! You know you have the new version when you have the tube with the new design. Thanks!
Great job btw! Looks awesome:) and I wonder If that’s like tree sap, like my parents car gets it a lot because they park under a tree. I don’t know what kind of tree, but definitely thought the clay would’ve removed it. I use this M-Tech tar&sap remover. Super old product but gets that stuff gone for me I like the hard work 🙏🏽
Hello Phil + Jess from Australia ;) Great finish on the Chev guys just like it should of came from the dealership, I wouldn't have been a happy boy with that crap all on the rear end..
Hey Phil. Out of curiosity, what percentage of people would you say are actually paying for paint corrections? It seems like the majority of your customers opt for paint enhancement. Obviously cheaper and saves clear, but I would think some people would go for perfection with nicer cars.
Hi. Good question. We have had only 2 or 3 paint corrections this year. Mostly our customers have daily drivers and we always ask them lots of questions to determine why they actually need. And 95% of the time they only need our enhancement service. I explain a little further in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ogsRl_RC4R8.html
Really nice job Phil. 👍 I’m using a Koch Chemie polishing system and it works really great for me. I like it. By the way, did you see a new version of your SPTA cordless polisher yet? It have a new design and finally 6 speed rpm controler by wheel on top of machine. I’ll order it asap 🤩
Hi phil. Big fan and subcriber. My wife is getting a new kia telluride wolf grey and i want to use this coating thanks to your video. On brand new paint could i skip polishing and just apply the coating after a wash ?
Hi. Congrats on the new vehicle! I wouldn’t. Skip the polishing, even if it’s just a light polish. It ensures the paint is prepped and will help with any light imperfects. Even on pearl white or silver I go over it with a light polish. But that’s just me.
@@MirandaDetailing thanks phil ! Have you tried technicians choice one step ceramic polish ? Would that be ideal choice? I also have turtle wax one and done at home.
Yes I have the Tech Choice polish it’s nice stuff! I’m not sure however if it works with other coatings however. It’s considered a primer polish for the Tech Choice coating. I would go with the One and done polish.
@@MirandaDetailing i just got the tech choice gear ready to go decided to go with their ceramic polish. Tech choice has this interesting clay polish pad i picked up for da polishers have you tried it ? Their ceramic spray polish is trully a gem i tested some out on my explorer super slick. Will use as topper ! Would enjoy sharing the results with you
Ok I was like " this climate change has gotten way out of control " lol You guys have helped me soo much I love your attitude. My wife asked how come your wife is not in more videos?
Man, you gotta love August... as Summer starts winding down and you're in a full on winter coat and get up! Oh, and a snow storm to boot! LMAO! You know I love you and your wife, Phil! :) So question: did you do the roof or the hood at 38:22? You said roof, then hood, now I'm all confuzzled. I don't know whether to drink the thing with a microfiber applicator or to drink it with nylon gloves! Arggghhh!!! I really love how the color pops! By the way, those spots you saw? I had them on my 21 Audi A4 when the dealer washed my car. I got a little upset when I saw the spots, thinking they were some man juice someone sprayed on my car, but after scrubbing lightly with my TW Ceramic Detailer Spray, they came off. Took a few attempts, but they came off. Didn't help with the Cold Summer Sun (another jab - LOL) baking the spots in, or else they would have come off more easily. I think it's a combination of the hard water at the dealership and the type of soap (or lack there of) they use when they wash a car down after service. It's weird! It's why I don't ask them to do the courtesy wash anymore, unless it's actually Winter in the Winter months, not August (ok, ok, I'll stop). And by the way, once I'm settled in at my new house, I am ordering your start kit you ...compiled? ...Collaborated? *lost look* with Car Supplies Warehouse. I got the Lake Country Orange pads from Walmart.com, and they're awesome! Exactly as you said. With the starter kit, can't wait to add more to my arsenal. Beautiful work on a beautiful car. By the way, got a good joke for you; A man walked into a bar and said, "ouch."
So that cleaner is a high alkaline cleaner of a PH of 13.5. It’s not an iron dissolving chemical. It’s very strong though. So I would just use it on wheels.
Hey, Phill and Jess. Awesome video as always. Thanks for the content. Would you mind me asking about ceramic coating removal? After a couple of years of application, when it's time to reapply the coating, what is the process to remove? Thanks a lot!!! Keep up with the awesome work!
Hi. Thanks. Great question So basically we inspect the coating and see how its doing. if it looks like its not performing well its most likely at its end. so a strong wash and a polishing with a light polish will remove the rest of anything that may still remain then panel wipe and re-coat as usual.
@@MirandaDetailing Thank you! I thought we'd need to compound. I am glad I asked the question to you guys! Thanks you so much for all the content and all the help!
Hi. Yes I only ever use one layer for most coatings. The only time I dual layer is of using Gyeon Mohs or if the customer wants us to apply EXOv4 on CSL. I believe I used a spray coating on the matte finish.
@@MirandaDetailing Does the MOHS require two coats and do you think the effort is warranted over the 1-coat. I used MOHS once in an Autogeek training class but only did a 1-coat. Nice product.
Gyeon says two layers is a requirement. But still I’m not convinced that it’s needed. The pro coatings of all companies only need one layer. So the Gyeon Mohs+ is supposed to be one layer also.
Fifty minutes of intense viewing pleasure! You also show that it is not necessary to blame the brand, but the user. As you clarified about the coating. grtz
I appreciate all of your videos MiranGang! I admire how detailers like you two go above and beyond on the idea of what detailing is! It isnt just get some soap, slap a mitt on the car, and call it a day. No, you take into consideration some common sense and new ideas that can be implemented on a detail both int/ext. Your very informative videos make us detailers who want to up our game smarter, efficient, and wise about our detailing processes. You, along with other car related channels, basically inspired me to start my detailing business and a RU-vid channel to also inform my fellow detailers on products and methods! There is never a day I dont learn something new, and with your videos I am inspired to go above and beyond! Passing some love from Los Angeles! Take care and stay safe MiranGang!
😆 it’s not always the tool or the product…the user plays the most important role. We always have plenty of coating left in the bottle using these applicators, and so do many other detailers I have talked to. Out of one 50ml bottle of coating I can get on average 2.5 vehicles. 🤷🏻♂️ I guess I perfected our technique and made the best use of the tools we use most. 😎👍🏼
So for matte vinyl like that you can wash per normal. Just don’t use any strong APC’s or degreasers on it and let them dry. But you can use spray waxes, sealants, and even spray coatings and regular coatings on it also. I always do a test spot on a corner to make sure it’s fine.
