In the shadows of a war torn planet and the depths of an Imperial base, a great power is quietly devising the course of Dalek history. But in a universe where one must evolve to survive, how powerful is The Eternal, really?
Extinction of the Daleks is an original Doctor Who fan animation I have been working on for the past few months, its original inspiration sparking for my wish to animate something with the Paradigm Daleks.
Many issues plagued this project throughout its making, which saw multiple delays to recording and rendering. But Im glad to have it done, and am happy to say I've already devised a plan for a further original animation. Thats one of my favourite things about this hobby - by the end of every project, you're enthused to start over to show off how much you've improved.

Seeing the purpose of the Paradigm back hump (switching in new weapons) realised in animation... *It's enough to make a grown man cry* Also glad I'm not the only one who's a fan of the Eternal being this omnipresent force throughout Dalek history, dedicated to preserving their past & future (be it through time, genetics etc)

It reminds me of The Dalek That Time Forgot. Caan goes back to find the purity of their race on Skaro then returns to find Davros. Obviously this is its own story of course and as always a brilliant one. i'm just sorry I was away from a good internet connection when it premiered. I've been waiting to watch for a week. It was worth it.

Ah, I get why the future daleks are using older casings! Another whotuber suggested that the daleks in the magicians apprentice the silver ones were the more recent ones and they transitioned to them afterwards. Your story telling and animation is epic, it's so beautiful, it's on par with other animations that were big

Also the new paradigm daleks had started to be rejected by their subordinates for consistent failures so the ones that remained were relegated to command roles

@@cindervee478 I know about the wiki, its just a bit nuts that the paradigm failed. They were soooo serious, judging from them being borne from the DNA of unit 9 of the original skaro city according to "the dalek that time forgot" it's quite unbelievable as those daleks while in the stone age of technological development were still pretty intelligent in their own right. Kids always disappoint am I right🙄

This looks fantastic, and I love the premise: It’s fascinating to see the “Eternal” concept finally get explored One question: Is the Eternal still yellow in this, some more muted goldish color, or just really banged up? It’s kind of hard to tell from the lighting. But fantastic work on this, it’s Dalek Tales level of quality, and I’m eager to see where the story goes!

Truly beautiful animation, and the voice acting is superb, but if I may just give a small criticism; Some of the Dalek voices sounded too human and not enough with the ring modulation to give them a truly Dalek feel. I hate to be such a nitpick person, since it´s obvious that you´ve worked a lot on this project. I do love your work and I do hope that this comment doesn´t hurt your feelings, and that you will continue your work on this platform.

That was brilliantly amazing! Great story, fantastic models, and great use of the music / sound effects from the Daleks' eras, the Daleks' voice acting and era-specific ring modulator also really great. Really exceptional work. And, so great to see the Paradigm Daleks use the weapons backpack thing, I remember being so interested as to how that would be realised and then we never got to see it in the show.

This is cool! Can I ask, how are you doing the Dalek voices? I've wanted to be able to do it for a while but none of the tutorial result in anything besides my voice sounding a bit distorted.

I did it with Adobe Audition, by applying a distortion and tremolo modifier. I think getting the performance right was most influential in making the voiced convincing. I'm not an actor, so I struggled a bit, but eventually got it. If you play around with the frequency of the tremolo, you should find something that suitably morphs your voice 🙂

There's multiple different dalek factions in Doctor Who so 2 daleks with completely different casings would either be on opposite sides.

@@ekij133 they are required because I must have their source DNA because there are several versions of the turtles and the Doctor all across the multiverse so I must break them down to find their source DNA so I can locate Doctor who prime and turtle prime they can't be used to point the path to the source dimension if they are vaporised my only regret is that they won't survive the process all Doctor who universes sprang from a common source, destroy the source and the Doctor would cease to exist it is the same situation with the turtles

From my understanding, these future Daleks; the reason their designs are older is a result of advancing technology, specifically efficiency? As the Daleks' technology advanced, their casings had to be changed with the upgrades in mind, but by the time of these Future Daleks technology had advanced enough that their upgrades could be contained in smaller casings. Like comparing a telephone to a smart phone, right?

The Dalek voices were edited with Adobe Audition. It's a bit tough to get it right, especially when you're not great with SFX like me, but you can get something that sounds good 😀

I am totally looking forward on the new Dalek Paradigm Empire. I imagined it would be a respectable empire where they allow small matters of failure as a lesson to be learnt of before re-fixing such mistakes, what is poor or damaged they are to be remade as the 'gifted ones' than laid waste for populated chances to survive, an empire that creates a balanced era for all Daleks to live as one than to be apart.

Constructive analysis: Dalek visuals 10/10 Sound effects 10/10 Script & story 10/10 Voice acting 6/10 Summary: Too much emphasis on 21st Century Nicholas Briggs where more 20th century 1970's Roy Skelton and Michael Wisher needs to be added. Conclusion: Overdubbing required. 😉🤏
