One thing is for sure ARF kits could always use a little beefing up, and gluing around the firewall and landing gear. I have a some that are fine..some they spared the glue on..

Wow, never seen an entire power unit detaching on a hard pull. Any previous damages that may have caused a loose engine mount? Thanks for sharing the video.

Nope, the airframe had arround 30-40 flights on it, it probably had a defect or something.

That's not the engine mount. That's the firewall.

Always beef up the firewal joints. I pin mine with 1/8 or 3/16" hardwood dowels. This is especially important for extreme aerobatics.

Hi, on a completely different point, did you ever get to a solution on the TD R18 receiver servos jitter/uncommanded deflection? Other than turning telemetry off completely?
@m4rcell0123
@m4rcell0123 2 года назад
I neve had any jittering, what I had was a uncommanded deflection. I fixed it just by updating the RF on the x20s. I was updating only the Ethos, not the transmission module.

@@m4rcell0123 OK Thanks, sounds like a different issue to mine, my servo's all jitter a lot if the 868/900 antenna is anywhere near a servo wire.

@@philiplewis957 , you can update it to the latest firmware whichhas option limiting the 900 mhz telemetry transmission power to 25mw. It will resolve the telemetry induced jitters...

Warranty issue for sure! and if they don't stand behind it it tells you something about their company besides they're poorly engineered airframes!!.. .

Well, it was an “old” airframe, but i sent them this video and they gave-me 50% off on a brand new extra 300 NG. So it is all good. Pilot-RC is an excelent company!

I always strategically add wood in my planes for this reason.

it is all about the epoxy glue used to assemble the ARFs built in Asian countries.

As opposed to what other countries?

@@jaystone766 absolutely right, I don´t think any of the larger 3D brands build their planes NOT in Asia
