The Boeing 787-8 is the base model of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner family. However, Scoot received the 787-9 first before the 787-8, the latter used for smaller (China) and future long haul (European) markets.
Scoot 787s are powered by the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines which are manufactured locally in Singapore.
