I think the reason for the animation loop in the credits was to allow local stations carrying _Extra_ to cover it up with their own live news updates or to show promos for other syndicated programming or their affiliated broadcast network's primetime shows.
@@ryanthomas49 it actually did, you see, there’s an season 21 episode 4 of the show where Lois hypnotizes Peter to do.. stuff.. just watch it and find out, it’s called “the munchurian candidate”
