For those wondering typical mortar mix for this is 1:1:8, cement, lime, sand. The bricks are extremely dry so it soaks up the water out of the mortar really fast which gives it enough time until it becomes a self supporting arch.

That's awesome. My dad told me stories from back in Europe... a colleague drunk too much beer during work, that a staircase at the 2nd floor was already 20cm out of alignment...

this technic of roofing survives for many centuries. especially to tropical countries this is a good way to insulate your home

Nice but dangerous. Any seismic activity will kill you with this roof.
