Dear Justin, Your DIY fireplace/TV niche/top shelves/work desk combo is absolutely stunning! Touché. Your unique designs throughout your apartment are skillfully spot-on and tastefully appealing. You're an inspiration to me, Justin, because it's been six months since I moved into a new apartment and I've been looking for inspiration to build a fireplace in my living room. Great idea Justin, especially the option to disassemble and move. Now living in a rental doesn’t need to feel as though you’re stuck with someone else’s design. But don’t forget the TV!

It looks beautiful. Just remember. Picking wrong paint color is not a horrible mistake. Paint mistakes are easily corrected. Measuring and cutting incorrectly? Now THAT'S a problem. I actually made a sign for my craft room that says, "When did," Measure twice. Cut once." become, "Measure five times and f*** it up anyway."? Good luck with your channel and keep up the great work!

Excellent question! Honestly it’s been about a year since I completed this project so it would be only rough estimates. I linked the fireplace and the mantle in the description. Those were obviously the big expenses, but other than those - this wall probably cost me about $200-300 in materials
