We recently added a detached 3-car metal garage. Although we hired contractors, it was still a process and an expensive project. We had to have a slab laid, electrical installed with a separate meter due to a car lift installed in it too.
Great job, I am sure you will sell that property before you know it. Looks like a beautiful neighborhood sending, love, prayers and kindness with a daily dose of any encouragement.♥️🙏🏼🌹👍🏼🇺🇸
The backyard is beautiful. I think re-doing a planter was a great move. It will definitely help during negotiations. I am an ex-realtor in (hot) Texas and I think your beautiful pool will draw in (hot) Arizona buyers. I haven't seen your inside renovations, but I know from your videos it won't disappoint. I predict you will get multiple offers and maybe a bidding war! I think you and hubs will walk away as very happy sellers. Get some well deserved rest when you return to Florida.❤
I had my dining room painted green and had the ceiling painted the same, out of the same can! The ceiling looked blue! My conclusion is that horizontal surfaces reflect light differently than vertical surfaces.
Suggestion: On the front of the house, notice the trim color painted on one upper-level window - paint the inset around the other window to match the outset of the other window. the trim color comes in a straight line up to the window but would look better if it was painted trim color. Maybe you would like the front side better? Great episode as always!
Amazing progress! I truly understand being on a budget and prepping the house to market, but if you'd have trimmed out the windows in the same color as your doors, it would have taken it to the next level. Just a thought!
The pool deck looks like it matches the house. Maybe it just needed to dry. I probably would have been in the pool most of the time with it being that hot.
Natalee, my hat’s off to you and your entire family. What workers you all are! I live in Phoenix and, honestly, I wish you and your family were moving back into that home. I guess I’ll just have to settle for seeing you video-style.
Good for you knowing you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of anyone or anything else. It's something we often forget. Love watching your projects come to fruition.
It could be painting stucco (house) vs concrete/spackling (pool deck) causing the difference, plus, the sun reflecting off different building materials. It looks great; while I understand your concern, no need to fret. Did you prime the back wall before painting, then sand? I know, just more work! Yet! If you plant climbing vines, etc, who's going notice once it is all grown in? Maybe add fake climbing ivy until the real grows in? It will cover that back wall and add "curb" appeal. Have a blessed day and a fab weekend/week!! xxoo
So pretty. You may want to consider painting the other parts of the top of the wall before listing it that way it doesn't look newer. You can really tell it in the aerial view you did. Not sure why the paint went different colors on you unless it is the material or undercoat that made it change but it still looks good. Love this house wish I lived close and could buy it.
You should be extremely proud of the job your boys did painting, and helping repair the stucco on the pool deck, and I'm sure you are. I've got 3 sons and often when they are the age of your ons they are not at all interested in working to help mom with projects, but your sons appeared to be happy to help you which ays a lot about you and your husband, as well as the boys themselves. They're also at an age where they are picking up skills they will likely use at sometime in their life when they get older. Although you're not yet completed with the home makeover, the house is really looking really nice. The difference to see is amazing Natal Lee.
Hi pretty momma❤ Absolutely a difference! It looks very good! I love the lay-out of the house and that pool looks gorgeous. And they did a great job with that balcony and tiles as well! 🎉 Lots of love and TFS♡
1000% better. Pool and deck look amazing. Love the new balcony. Next time (if ever) A wire brush for the red mortar on the wall would take away the raised area. Make that disappear after painting.
You must be exhausted at this point trying to do this in a short time. Just the thought of how much is to do in as little time is exhausting. All of you are troopers. When the house is sold you will forget the strain these past few weeks where.
I bought a house in sunny Florida, it was off white, the sun reflex’s light colors like looking at snow, it’s too bright for the eye. The color choices in high sun areas is best in a medium tone. If you want grey go darker, not white in high sun areas. I agree with another commenter, the top porch is useless in that heat, better for just a roof that spans larger for more pool side shade.
I’m loving watching you reinvent this home. You will have to let us know if you are were able to recoup your investment when you sell!!! Thanks for sharing all this!
What you have around your pool is called cool decking. It is a thick textured paint that they just throw down with a heavy brush. Then go over it with a light weight roller in the high spots.
I’m sure it was so overwhelming when you showed up at the house. You did an amazing job again. You will be happy to not be in the desert now? I’m in Las Vegas and it was a record 120 degrees yesterday.
What a lovely home🌷 You guy's are so creative, just the way you changed the bathroom, and the upstairs balcony is awesome. The backyard looks great too. The new homeowners, can plant some vines going up that wall you repainted, and yes it looks way better. It's really a beautiful home, and your upgrades made it perfect🌹 Love Dolly, she's so sweet, I have three poodles, could never live without a dog💕❤ Love your videos🌺
You did an amazing job! Great attention to detail. The drone overhead view looks like a DEAD BODY chalk outline in the neighbor's grass/backyard to the left!!! 💀😨
In Florida, we call those flying bugs “dirt daubers”. They burrow for the dirt to make those clumps of dirt balls on the walls and they lay their eggs. I hate them too!
When you say that someone sponsored a project or video, does that mean they provided the materials or money to repair the project? Everything turned out so beautifully. Your hard work shows well.
OMG! I was so worried when you said, 'we're going to tear down the balcony.' I can see you up there doing it perfectly. But yes smart move, safety-wise, to let contractors do it, LOL!
They paint color will look different due to the vertical vs horizontal areas & the way the light hits them & the reflections from the pool water. In the end it did not look horribly different at all.
Natalie, it is just the lighting. The house doesn’t have the sun shining right on it and it is vertical verse horizontal.. the sun is shining bright in the pool floor.. just ignore it. haha ☀️ Everything is looking good!
Looking beautiful. One thing bothers me, however. I would've painted the whole wall same color rather than leave it looking "patched" with wrong color.
Its because one surface is parallel and the walls are perpendicular light absorbs on the ground and reflects on the wall. Its just so sunny that the sun is distorting the colors. It will be ok.
Try watering down the area, it may cause those solitary bees to move. If that's what they are, they don't sting. Or, you could cover with mulch. They need a dry uncovered area. ❤❤
