We scan and bag our own groceries in Aus. And no coupons. Still major savings are had. If I’m bagging my own stuff you best believe I’m garnishing my wage
Brave Duck yea but that probably took over an hour and there are so many costumers waiting. Also the fact that she had to call the manager because of one coupon was irritating
Brave Duck nah there are people like this everywhere. Then there’s the rude ones with bullshit coupons that don’t match the item. People are sketchy I used to get people like this at target all the time. Then they’d go try and return shit for full price.. if they take it serious I’m gonna be annoyed and take it serious too. But I love this show so I’m conflicted
whatsgoingon07 poor minded mentality would never understand that. I commend her but feel bad for her. I’d pay extra for convenience and for expedite service because that would mean more time for me, and you can’t buy time.
@@nuck- who makes minimum wage I have high school kids flipping burgers making 10-13 an hour and I was a manager making 19.50 an hour on a 50 hr work week and I work at a burger joint.... even McDonald's pays there crew 9 bucks an hour
I don’t know how much his is possible? Where I live you can only use a limited amount of coupons per transaction and you can’t overlap coupons on the same product
Some places don't have limits. I've had couponers come in with a binder full of coupons for a 100$ transaction down to 5$ I was annoyed but shocked lmao
In Austria, there are literally no coupons. Some shops give coupons but you only can use one coupon per buy. In the US the coupon system is really good for the consumer.
Yes...they're making it harder for us. It's very irritating bcz we are going by the rules. We literally go out of our way to KNOW the coupon policies so our trips aren't screwed up or are we embarrassed.
Reality is that healthy stuff never goes on coupns. Fresh and healthy stuff always costs full price. Unless you live in some rular faming area where farmers market sells stuff cheep, you sre stuck with unhealthy crap.
She was pissed when she couldn’t get 1$ off a can of tuna wtf is up with her but I’ve got to say 400$ all the way down to 45$ holy shit damn she got the deal of a life time Thanks for the likes my dudes and dudettes 😏
Extreme couponing is an essential part of living her life in the 10 most expensive cities. She spends 30 hrs a week planning it out and needs help from all family member. I would struggle w that tbh
@@angeljaime5064 I suspect if she was on food stamps you would have something to say also, In addition to that why do ppl forget most coupons cone from the MANUFACTURERS who in turn reimburse the vendor /store and continues to do promotions and keeps partnership with the stores....No one looses from coupons. in fact it helps moves products that might otherwise expedite out or even worse clearance out.....maybe stores should train a designated team or customer support for couponers.
Minimum wage in Chicago Illinois prior to 2015 was $8.25 and she spent upto 30 hours a week clipping coupons. Do the math... $8.25 x 30 = $247.50.... Clippers need to take their own State's minimum wage into account when figuring out what they are really saving. Btw, Chicago, Illinois' minimum wage is now $12/hr (2019), so the 30+ hours of clipping she does every week is now costing her over $360 in lost savings, and that's not counting the other family's members work.
@joshdarkensins i work and so does my Fiance and I use coupons and spend quiet a bit of time doing it. it takes a LOT of time to get it just right, and I have a family of 4. we do it because we need to. I live in a place where the taxes are so High on food and things that I need to to make our doller stretch. I just recently got 35.00 worth of things that we use for 10.00 I stock pile for the stuff we use. like Toothpaste and pens and laundry detergent it isnt all that bad. it is FUN to do=)
@BDJOEcustomvideos You have to type in the amount of the coupon, you can't just scan the coupon because the PLU/UPC varies between manufacturer coupons. Also, Manufacturer coupons rarely give anything away for free.. Usually just 50 cents or 75 cents off (and only allowed one per produc) so it's impossible to bring your bill that low unless you had a fuckload of "free" coupons.
I feel like in a way this can ironically be a waste of time (which might be better spent working etc) and money. Instead of just buying $45 worth of products she wanted, she spent it on 100 cans of tuna or whatever.
I'm a cashier at Walmart and this lady had two carts full of groceries and all her stuff would be worth $1000 and she had stacks of coupons and she ended up spending $200 or more I dont remember
You can check coupon policies before you go. I don't coupon a lot but I haven't seen any policies where the store limits your coupons. There are some limits on coupons themselves though.
I just turned 20 and I watched this one episode and now I’m thinking of just going through magazines that people don’t use angling as many coupons as I can
@@xxy5170 Well If your concerned about plastic, that btw can be recycled and many people recycle on a daily basis creating other useful things with it, we have a laundry list of things that we all do on a day to day basis that is killing the world slowly around us. Unless you live in the woods, as a vegan with cotton clothes, and no perfumes, all sulfate paraben and all other chemical free products, no fur, no cars or other vehicle use, do not accumulate any trash, etc.etc. etc. do not use any technology which uses plastic parts I'm sure (which you have to be on to be on the typing this) etc. etc.etc., then the things that we do is limited. So yes I am excited for a woman who is able to save money by helping her family and whoever else she may choose to donate to, especially in a world where many people struggle on a day to day basis to pay bills.
@@DennisVicta We don't know that for a fact, and whatever she does with it is her business so I am not worried about it. She has every right to shop on a budget.
I used to work retail during the holidays and after a particularly rough day, we were all exhausted and just wanted to lock up for the night. Then we had some extreme couponer come in like 10 til close with a whole ass cart full of shit. Food, clothes, makeup, and all. Just FILLED. And she had at least one coupon per item. Every single employee was forced to stay an extra hour because of this woman. We probably would've stayed a lot longer if the manager didn't take pity on us and let us leave while she handled it.
There has to be a policy prohibiting that. Like, 10 mins till closing means that's it. If you've only rung up part of your purchase, too bad. A few minutes past is a cushion but over an hour?! No... these people get to the store at 8am or something and should be able to do better with time management (or buying fewer items at a time) to do so. I know these giant hauls are for TV and most of these folks don't pull this crap on a regular basis... but I feel like at least some do and that pisses me off... and I've never even worked retail. I can only imagine for the people who really do.
@rtinsavannah said "The store makes money off the coupons." Not true, because the price she pays for a product, plus the refund the store gets from the manufacturer,, equal the regular price the store WOULD have gotten by selling it at the regular price. No extra profit for the store.
I just wanted to say 30 hours a week, and need more than 1 family members help in couponing. Wow!! If you guys, worked 40 hours a week outside, even at minimum pay, you earn more than enough. To pay for groceries. But to each there own.
I wish you could do this shit in Canada it’s like one coupon per product per transaction lol, lucky Americans. Maybe there are some places in Canada that do that but not where I am.
I was able to combine 2 coupons recently & got a Victoria's Secret rollerball fragrance almost free... was very surprised the cashier let me combine the two deals. But yeah, it's becoming more and more rare to get lucky with coupons after shows like this ruined it!
A lot of stores will have sales and items that get discounted, but I'm noticing these days that the merchandise isn't significantly discounted anymore, like never over 30% in most stores.
Whats the difference between doing this and just buying generics at walmart and buying things from 99 cent only and dollar stores? Cause i think doing that 8s better than trying to extreme coupon
Its your job to do so, if you don't like it quit. There is nothing wrong with being smart with your money . given the fact that you are still a cashier at your age, you may need some tips .
Kaila Cheatham what the lady is doing is beyond petty and time consuming. What she did is only slightly better than paying in change but like those people she gotta have an attitude too.
It’s true, we don’t do like to do it, but there’s a reason! Most of the time they want us to hurry up with the lines and accept any coupon they gives us. We can get in trouble if we accept any coupon.
You ppl are lucky I guess cuz here you can only use one coupon for one shopping like I mean if u buy some stuff you can use one coupon for the the whole stuff only one coupon
Fairplay, it's alot of work, but outcome seem decent..Shame these tv shows are going to alert Big Stores of this Legal Loophole..They'll put an end to it sooner or later...
