I especially enjoyed the complete morons with the harbor freight / homemade hack mill with a 2 foot blade spinning at 10,000 rpm which they were 1 foot away from - while they used their entire body weight to push on the resistance of the machine - while stepping over obstacles etc . . and changing the configuration of the blade while it was at full speed - ( with no apparent safety mechanisms of ANY KIND - so they can cut 2x4's. My GOD - saw blades DO come apart. There IS kickback. People DO trip and fall over ( into the blade ) and on and on . . .
Am I nuts or does that saw at 7:15 look like a death trap. Seems like a matter of time to me before someone trips over the bottom rails right into that saw blade. Good lord.
8:10 This has to be the scariest, most dangerous saw I've ever seen in any of these videos. The guy has to push that giant blade through the wood while stepping over multiple beams (aka trip hazards). When he swings it 45 degrees, it appears that the blade is scary close to his leg. I wouldn't want to be within 20 feet of this machine.
I can't imagine what would happen if that blade hit a piece of metal inside the tree and shattered .. Everyone in that building would be dead probably..
@@MarkLada that or if they fell forward pushing it when the blade is cutting sideways. You’re done. Retards like this are the reason we have so much regulation in the usa
The Maschines are not dangerous per se! Ppl who working with, and have no knowledge or feeling for safety at work, that makes work dangerous! Flip Flops as Safety shoes, no ear protection, no protection grids, stumbling falls everywhere! Owner of the business has to protect his employees! Greetings from Germany ❣❣❣

these are extreme poor countries, destroying their forests to make some money... sad.. 7:30 in what western country is it legal to work like this??, iam getting a heart attack just looking at it, my butcheeks aresqueezed together from fear!. in my country this would be immidiatly shutdown by " governmental work inspection" team!...
@Lord Jock But this isn't in africa or asia where safety standards doesn't exist - this guys look like USA or Australia citizen. Edit: I'm wrong. In 10:33 we can see russian text... this is possible in russia.
@@mateuszuczak6925 Would not happen in Australia ! Why would you think that ? Not U S either. Insane set up; unguarded in horizontal cut, sawyer having to step over the frame, and no safety boots or hearing protection. and cutting up the big rainforest logs from old growth tropical jungle stolen from the third world. Are they Japanese sawyers? Or Chinese? Look at the size of that big log; they just don't make trees that size any more; has to be 'stolen' Borneo, Sarawak, New Guinea, even Brazilian rainforest trees. Disgraceful, disgusting, despoiling !
8:05 you can literally see that hes leg is 3-4 cm away from the blade. If it even touches your pants, it will take your leg with cloth as well. I know two people to loose their hand because they had cloves and could not get their hands back from going into the machine. I would not work with this machine - it's too dangerous!
Wonder why they move the wood instead of the saw?? Having watched a few vids of personal saw mills, it just looks easier to be moving the saw above the lumber horizontally !!! Wow that circular saw looks aggressive and dangerous with the operator pushing on it, hope he doesn't slip and fall into that thing!! Safety doesn't seem to be of any importance that's for sure, that's insane!!! But those huge slabs are beautiful!!! Hopefully safety increases with time!!
WTF ? Shorts- check; Flipflops ?- Check. NOW you're ready to work in the Extreme Dangerous Biggest ; " Wood Sawmill" (?) You mean I'm not working at the "Automobile; Car & Coupe style and Sedan type , Car Wash " today ? " That's right ; AGAIN ! "; Good; I won't have to change clothes .- " Wow , you're amazing ; how do you think so fast ; like that and not be wrong - at least sometimes ? I thinks you're what , your daddy's father's, other son meant by just one toss into the 'spin' cycle makes an Empty Brainpan Genius " It's not easy ma; I just make it look easy. I'm telling ya momma; I got this shit down ! "Stop it; you're gonna make your sister side of me cry ".
@2:50 is called a misery whip. My dad used to fall a tree take a two man power saw with 12' bar and cut beams to build a bridge. A small Marion crane with a pile driver. Could haul 50,000 # was more work to span 140' bridge
I grew up near a large sawmill in Poland and both my parents worked in the offices of that sawmill. When they were sawing logs brought from areas where there was fighting during WWII they had to replace the blades several times per day because of iron shrapnel that was embedded in the tree trunks. The things they used were 4-5 blades in one frame going up and down at the same time. The saw machine was a monster about as tall as a house. I grew up with a sound and the smell of pine resin from those machines. We would buy scrap wood for fuel in our home heating stoves (the old-fashioned, European floor-to-ceiling kind covered with ceramic tiles) that had shrapnel still embedded in them and sometimes you would see marks showing busting of the teeth of the saw.
На 9.50 минуте и чуть раньше на циркулярной пиле такой ствол на небольшие доски распустили - жаль для этих целей пошли бы деревья поменьше, потеря на доске огромная, а сколько отхода в стужку! 😤👎
Look, I realize that everyone has to have a job to make a living, but where do they find someone stupid enough to stand 3 feet away from a 8 inch wide band saw blade traveling at 3000 surface feet per minute?
Dangerous is absolutely correct!!! The guy pushing the saw is wearing slip-ons and socks!! Where the hell is Health and Safety? Would the job though working with wood.
I'm sure that OSHA will be there just any time now. Eye protection? Check. Special footware? Check. Helmets? Check.? Saftey glasses? Check. Blade saftey brake? Any day now . . . . . .
In the old days, circular saws gave me the shivers, and even a picture of one made me want to fold up my fingers out of the way so that they would not be cut off.
It's about time someone showed those uppity 300 year old tree whose's boss. The good news is that most of the people in this video will never make the same mistake twice.
I enjoy the grain on a dream of making not your sawing !! I can say you hurt your to turners and carvers that pay for those cuts you just cut not making the most of those grains !!! You lose a lot of money !! Just cutting!!
This would be so much fun to do!! However, I noticed someone wearing shorts and flip flops. On top of that, no eye protection! How stupid!!! That’s a tragedy in the making!!
In our western culture, we pride ourselves on ensuring the safety of the workers and this disaster waiting to happen is presented to us for what purpose?
