Looks GREAT! As an Airbnb Host since 2012 May I make a couple recommendations? Secure your cords so a child doesn’t get the cord around their neck and so the cords are not trip hazards. Get a zipped mattress cover that protects your mattress against bedbugs and anything wet. Also zipped pillow covers that do the same. Provide a location for all your throw pillows so they don’t end up on the floor when guests are sleeping and then become a trip hazard in the middle of the night. Add a smoke alarm in the bedroom. Finally pack your bags and spend a couple nights as a guest in your Airbnb, it’s a great way to learn what might need some tweaking. Congratulations on all your hard work!!!
I give that advice to all my friends. Unfortunately, bedbugs will jump on you in doctors’ offices or anywhere you sit down. It will not matter if the place is brand new.
FABULOUS makeover!!! As a person who has cleaned many an Airbnb rentals, I heartily agree with the advice of Cottage Keeper. Zipped pillow protectors and a zipped mattress pad will definitely protect your investment of pillows & mattress. I personally can't stand yucky pillows that have been slept on by a bunch of folks because they end up being yellowed & grimy. The pillow cover can be taken off & washed regularly so that your pillows will stay pristine. You've put a lot of thought & sweat equity into your Airbnb and it shows! I'm so proud of you! Way to go!!!
My grandfather hung wallpaper for a while during the Great Depression and he made this awesome tool. It's a smallish pizza cutter with a very well sharpened edge. You stick up the wallpaper and pizza cut the edges and pull off the excess. It's going on 100 years old and I still use it now. Once in a while I take a stone and sharpen it and other tools while I'm watching a movie or something.
Always do a walk through before guests arrive and when they arrive. Have them sign off on everything (itemize everything in the house). When they check out if anything is missing take a picture and charge them. Policies and rules are necessary. Get an attorney to make certain that it per your state’s law. You can have security cameras outside of the house. Most guests will appreciate it. I know we did when we stayed in one.
You need an ottoman or suitcase stand in the bedroom or people will be setting possibly dirty suitcases on your beautiful white duvet….have you thought about turnaround on your linens between guests? A second set of everything? Suggestion in your closet desk…a large fancy mirror will make it feel less small…also needs a light source
Looks great! I would maybe finish painting the unit under the TV? You've put so much effort into decorating and it's quite noticeable from different angles. Love the colours of the room

I would have gotten stuck if I had to paint the area above the closet! Ha! The room is gorgeous! I love how far you have come with the channel. I even painted a dresser because I was inspired!
Same here! I have started flipping furniture and am doing my first piece next month. Found free end tables. I also redid my bathroom vanity with beyond paint.
There is something sooo satisfying about watching carpet and padding being tossed out the window!!!....in all seriousness, the room came out fantastic!!!....great job you guys!!!....so happy and excited for your new adventure!!!....
Wow this is fun and pretty and just wins!!! Think about covering your mattress with a zippered waterproof cover and a zippered protector for your pillows. I think others have offered this suggestion too. I want to paint the desk chair. Good, good, good on you guys.
The room make over is so great. You did an awesome job. I don’t mean to scare you however I wouldn’t like you to have to deal with something like bedbugs. I have never had them at an Airbnb but I did get them and they can be a problem. So I recommend high quality bedbug covers for the mattress’s.
The transformation is night and day! Amazing! I watched all the previous videos as the reno was happening but watching clips of all of them together in this video was spectacular. I cringed watching and thinking of all the time you must have put into the prep work on the walls.
Looks beautiful. The rooms were such a labor intensive process. The end result was worth it. We often have people stay in our second home. One of items I have invested in are luggage stands for each room so guests do not have to put their luggage on the floor. I have also seen hosts build and lower shelf in the closets for that very purpose. As well we have a locked storage closet on site which has extra supplies on hand (cleaning and otherwise). Its easier to access and stock. Keep up the good work. Place looks amazing.
Everything looks great. Excited for you and hope you get it up and running real soon. One thing I noticed and had to rewind to see again was the MCM piece you just did. Looks good until you see under the top. Not a very finished look.

I found using bleach on anything but towels yellows. I use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide then add the detergent and fabric softener. This combination works on white clothing and colors. If the stain is dried loosen it up using hot water or spray stain remover. I had a stain on a blouse for a year and nothing worked until I used this combination. It’s budget friendly and disinfecting.

Looks great. I love the waffle bedding. If you didn’t already link it, i would appreciate if you did so. Make sure you get an all over bedbug proof casing for the mattress. You don’t want guest bringing any little uninvited guest with them. 😊

and Mrs t Liked the nice white bedding BUT loose the horrible rusty colour back pillows (they look so old fashion) if you want another back pillow colour pick out the blue wall colour thats really nice
