I totally agree with you anaa! I've seen some other DIY presentations and the perfectionism greatly decreases my motivation. Mon is so friendly and not afraid to show us we can change our minds on things, design is an ongoing process and that things don't always turn out right the first time--and it's totally okay!

@@sct4040 I understand why you don't like the Trones. But... the ones I had were all chipped off and these are so much more durable. Plus, these are much more minimalistic and they look better for my narrow hallway and I can finally clean underneath them 🥰

Mon, I ❤ Mars!!!! He is SOOOO CUTE!!!!!!! I am happy to babysit any time!!!!❤❤❤ Thought…not sure if you have ever tried the stick on wallpaper that is available on Amazon….some of the patterns are GORGEOUS and VERY inexpensive….plus it’s is FAST….and I mean FAST! I did our main wall in our Master bedroom, all by myself in less than two hours!!! Super easy!!! Definitely read the reviews if you are choosing a “busy” pattern as there is more “loss” in a busy pattern than a plain one but WOW does it look AMAZING!!! AND, I did do it in one of the bathrooms last year which I am redoing now, with my BLOWDRYER…not even a heat gun, I just warmed up the wallpaper and it PEELED RIGHT OFF with MINIMAL TO NO RESIDUE!!! A quick wipe with GreenClean and it was ready for paint or NEW PAPER!!!!!! Check out “Stick on Wallpaper” on Amazon…….it is amazing and doing it on a 1/2 wall would look fabulous….maybe next “design”…..(I prefer to call what you do..MAGIC!!!❤❤❤).

Its funny that I just made over my entryway and first I went with green then I repainted to this almost same exact brown colour!:) Love this makeover. So nice of you to bring Mars on your holidays and also, you have a killer figure, Mon, wow!

Hi Mars! You and my doggo are always napping lol! Ahh I’m so excited to watch today, I also have a small entry way and struggle to make it functional. It’s a square shape so it seems like there should be room but as soon as we put a table there it’s hard to get through. One thing I’ve done that really works for us is to replace the big mirror with four pictures and the glass from them and their botanical prints make it feel like a garden window. I moved the mirror to the adjacent hallway so it reflects light from the window next to the door.
Just a small recommendation from our failed wall paintings - if you like to paint much, we recommend using blue or orange Tesa tapes, they tend to bleed through much less. Most hardware stores have them :)
Dall-E, like other AI generators, is trained on works stolen from real, human artists. If you want wall art, please make your own entirely from scratch or pay a real human artist. You can get art prints for surprisingly low prices, especially if they're small.

You did a lovely job! I envy you having walls that are so easy to drill into;-)) I live in a building from the 1890s and when you drill you often get a pile of rubble and a huge hole.
@@berlinorama I feel you 😞 I have troubles drilling in some parts of my home - literally pieces of the wall fall off as I drill. But luckily the hallway is drywalled so it's much easier 🤞
@@HomeByMon I live in Berlin where so many of the walls seem to be filled with wartime rubble. The only room with drywall is my bathroom, so drilling is always a big adventure.

I think with how divisive particularly politics are over there at the moment, most all a lot of people here will be very aware of are things like that an, as usual, judging based on a handful of extreme situations/people they are seeing on the news.
It's lovely but all monochromatic. For me it would be a great background but l would add a strong pop of color. To me, neutrals are not a real color. But, all in all, it has a charming, professional look and provides a nice, friendly welcome into the apartment.
Staging isn't real life. Are the items that were hanging up now in the nice closet? By changing the storage pieces to ones that are less imcumbersome of the entry always makes a difference. I honestly thought Mon was going to do a diy to the shoe cabinet doors. It won't take much for them to break. The upper knob hanger seemed to high. She was stretching to hang up the tote. The take away is - if it works for them, then its good.
@@lovealwaysmom hey, it's summer here and it's so hot that all of my jackets and coats are stored away. Also, my husband is taller than me, so I figured the higher one is for him and the lower one for me 🥰
