I was kinda hardwired to doing this crazy dive growing up in the island( I was small then, the water typhoons had somewhat shaped our confidence in some ways)but this raging volume of water is way wilder…that man is dangerous indeed!

I imagine there is some strong undertow even in the more calm areas. I’ve seen some impressive flows in mountain rivers after heavy rain, but that was just ridiculous
So there are fish in there that will happily bite off chunks from a crocodile, the water is extremely hazardous and there's nets that you could easily get caught in and this man doesn't think twice about jumping in?? Hats off to you Sir, an extreme fisherman indeed! 🏴❤🇨🇩

I am TENTA, I live in France I'm one of this congolese fisherman's sons called TENTA Philip diving into water. I just want to correct somebody who wrote down here, saying that this man is insane. I just want to precise that this man isn't insane, he raised up his children thanks to this job and most of us are graduate thanks to this job he did. I'm deeply proud him. Learn to respect other people's jobs and cultures.

The Congo is one of those places in the world where jumping in the river is probably as dangerous as staying on dry land. I’m pretty sure he’d be happier using Jeremy’s rod though.
