First mistake, removing the original air intake system. The factory one was designed to keep water out in up to 3.5ft of depth, and that depth goes up when you lift the vehicle
Hey Guys, i m very impressed with the performance of this little machine, this is exactly what i need to do some trail hunting, since i can't use my quad legally on dirt roads this will work fine. Thank you for showing its performance.
Camo, shiny wheels (plus one extra), brand new BFGs, and truck nuts (God why...), and a CAI (because reasons) but no lockers? At least we know where your priorities are.
The expression ''Rode hard and put away wet'' came from actual real life experience, dirt bikes mainly. Water gets into every place where it can do harm in a vehicle used like this. How about the transfer case vent? How about the differential vents? The clutch throwout bearing, starter solenoid, master cylinder. Water inside the disk brake caliper slides will corrode them and lock up one side of the calipers. Our Jeep YJ had belonged to a hunter and was used to cross streams before we got it. One day on the freeway we heard a slight whining. It was the left rear axle bearing failing and the wheel came off and passed us up while we spun around out of control. Water had corroded the outer axle bearing and it heated up until the axle turned blue, then broke off completely. This took place about 3 years after the Jeep was sold to us. There were other things that were long term water damaged that I replaced. I replaced the front end, rear end, transfer case, transmission, skid plate mounting bolts, both drive shafts, u-joints, upper and lower front end ball joints, tie rod ends. Even the bolts were frozen in the leaf spring ends and we had to plasma cut the old springs out when we put the lift kit on.. These were things that broke, wore out, failed suddenly (rear drive u-joint on the transmission end disintegrated at 35mph in town, whacked everything then bent the driveshaft). Yeah, the Jeep was a bargain but I put twice the money back into it saving money be doing it all myself. So this water crossing made me cringe knowing the long term damage it will cause. Have fun, kids.
Well, I didn't think I'd be screaming at my PC today. Not for this, at least lol. Poor guy. Good he's getting experience though. Just needs to be way more generous with that throttle.
There are three types of stupid, by your self, with friends, with friends who have a video camera. RU-vid added a whole new dimension of stupid. Yes bonus stupidity.
Dude if you take that thing in water that deep you're gonna fuck up your transmission when you get water in the vent. You don't wanna take automatics in deep water.
I’d like too see any of these nutless commentators try this. This guy has more hair on his balls then any haters do on their heads !and enjoys life to the fullest. Go ahead suzkill ! Fuk em all the haters down!!
If that's the most awesome thing that guys ever scene he has never been off roading with my crew that was weak as hell look up general Lee hill climb Lake houser that's us that's getting it done
+SlyRobot Wheel bearings go out on Trackers as it is. When you run your wheels through water like that it degrades the wheel bearings, water gets in them and they wear out very quickly.
