I'm so glad this came up on my RU-vid lists. Nuno is a super talented musician and offers his own sound that honors the best guitarists in the history of Rock. Extreme is alive and well !
I LOVE @ 7:10, Kevin Figueiredo breaks his drumstick & half of it goes flying over his right shoulder! He then reaches down to his left & just casually picks up another one without missing a beat! TRUE PRO!
The best part about extreme is that they are musically extreme....A band which is complete interms of Riffs , sound performance....What a Band.....A band like extreme is born in every 50 yrs......Fuckin i dont have any words for this band....This is one of the top 20 bands in the world that u must listen to before you die or your life as a rock listener is incomplete....
A band that still puts on a show! Cherone is a fantastic front man ! And then theres Nuno......as far as I'm concerned... he has Eddie's , Claptons, Becks, Via's , Ect. Ect. Ectras chops down and more. The consumate showman with the musical ability to back it up! Fuckin amazing! And Mr. Bass man is as solid as solid gets!...yeah...mr K...Fig! DRUMMER EXTRIDINAIR!
Extreme still sounds and looks like 20 years ago. Gary Cherone´s voice it´s in a incredible form not to mention the rest of the band....Pat´s bass and Nuno´s playing seems to get better with age.I can´t understand why they not release a fuckin new album yet! such a waste!
I was fortunate enough to meet Nuno and the boys in 1989 in Philly. Nuno is, by far, the most humble celebrity I ever met. Given his talent, he could get away with being a total prick and he could not have been nicer. I'm so happy to see he's still killing it with the boys.
This fucking fabulous! I missed a lot of the tunes when they came out... I was underwater literally, subs weren't available with the tunes back then let alone living over seas. Man it's great to hear this I missed it all...
Saw them last Friday in Perth. Played with Mr Big who were awesome, but Extreme just blew me away. Much better than I thought they'd be. This video doesn't do them justice (good job tho). Nuno is fucking legend!!!
Watching this makes me regret selling my Washburn N4 guitar! Also, I just can't believe how Gary still has the pipes to belt this stuff out after all these years! Was one of my favorite bands for years! Probably will be again when they release their new album they've been sitting on until COVID days are over.
Thanks for the upload. You had a great view of it all and the sound is incredible. I wish the set list was more varied with some "III Sides" songs...they always seem to just do the same three every time. Oh well. Still incredible songs.
I was there that night, one of the best concerts I have been to in my entire life! I laughed my ass off when Nuno couldn't pick up a pick for the guitar solo at 30:39. But I know that everybody is human and we all make mistakes.
Really wish these guys would put out another album and tour the US again. Been too long since the last one. Just saw Nuno last week with Generation Axe. Amazing!
Truth. The guy rattles the Pandora's Box of guitar gymnastics to see what's inside it but he never goes ahead and tears it open because the songs and their harmonic structures and their outright funkalicious grooves are always his first priorities. It's like watching Roger Federer play tennis or Jackie Chan dance his way through a fight scene - you know the guys are pure reflex and sinew and watching quasi-superhumans do anything is reliably entertaining but when both of their potentials are respectively captured in the 'bigger pictures' of tennis's combat ballet and kung fu movies' acrobatics then experiencing the stuff provokes near-rapture. Nuno's the same. Dude belongs in the fucking Olympics.
These guys are such a "high energy" band, top notch talented musicianship, tight bada$$ed rock n roll, you can tell Gary's lovin having such a great band to front, Nuno, Pat and the new drummer...awesome!! Glad they got passed their differences and got back together👍🏼✌🏼️

Nuno is my favorite guitarist, hands down! Even over Eddie, Dimebag, or Hetfield & Hammet! But dude I gotta request. PLEASE don't ever deprive us of the whole Extreme that the 4 of you are together, again! Nuno, love your music man! Solo too but, you're fulness comes from not you alone, but with your three EXTREME brothers bro! Just had to say it! Thank you guys! Peace!
Search here for (Sucker For a Pretty Face) by Rockcandy. It's a great rock album! Also the singer (Jose Anes) had a band B4 this called Sinful, with Nuno Bettencourt on guitar B4 Extreme! Search here for (Sinful Demo Album 1984). Enjoy!!!!!
Amazing band. For those who got 3 sides you'd know what I mean, mostly lost on the masses but that's what made it special. Nuno, a monster, Gary, VH fans didn't know what they had, Pat better than alpacas?, Kevin - Paul would be proud.
Blackdog loved him when I saw him front VH in Melbourne April 1998! He was bloody awesome!! Sammy Hagar can’t even touch GH when it comes to being what a frontman is about!
