This week we completely transform this old and boring desk from the 1980's. We're going old world (which I LOVE to do) adding lots of texture and depth. There were a few mistakes along the way, but the end result was just fabulous. This was an extreme furniture makeover for sure and I loved it, I hope you all do to!

Okay I didn't even finish the video yet and I'm cracking up because Blue was trying to help his mommy! Only other dog lovers can understand how funny and precious this is I love it! I love the dry brushing technique. It's a little labor intensive, but so worth the effort. The results are beautiful and, directly connected to the artist. 🥂

Don't we want to remove the scraggy and coarse bits from the furniture?" Beautiful, Kacha!! I love the combo of this shade of pink (I always think salmon pink) and brown together. With all the layers of texture and dry brushing she’s one of a kind. You’re the furniture artist I found online to learn how to paint my very first piece in Louis Blue and graphite with dark wax. So when I see you do pieces like this desk it reminds me of all the videos of yours I watched before gaining the courage to paint my own. And love watching Blue “helping” you paint!💜

Predivno draga Kaća, kao i sve što napraviš❤️ otkrila sam te pre desetak dana i odgledala skoro sve tutorijale, ostali su mi podkasti da odgledam, njih sam par samo😁 podstakla si me da ponovo oživim svoj stari hobi u kome sam uživala pre nekoliko godina i koji sam prekinula zbog nedostatka materijala, novca...u Srbiji. Sada sam u Nemačkoj i sve je dostupnije i svega ima, tako da krećem tvojim stopama ponovo❤️ Hvala ti što postojiš i što si me motivisala tako jako da tačno osetim ponovo tu radost dok gledam poteze četkom i vidim koliko mi je to nedostajalo... ❤❤❤ Bila sam sigurna da je naša 🤩 Mogu samo da zamislim kako je teško u Srbiji da se nađu dobri materijali, (već sam se pitala kako bih mogla tamo da nastavim ono što radim ovde u Francuskoj) em što skupo koštaju (makar skupo za Srpskog zaradnika) em što nemamo tako lako pristup dobrim ili internacionalnim proizvodima... puno sreće i uspeha 🤗😊

@@Uroborus u početku kad sam slušala i gledala Kaću, nisam bila sigurna odakle je, mislila sam Rusija, Srbija, Ukrajna...Moj muž je pogledao jedan video sa mnom i rekao "Naša devojka, vidi se po liku, kako je lepa"😁 Da, u Srbiji je jako teško naći kvalitet, moze se naci Ani Sloun ali po mnoogoo vecim cenama nego ovde. Malih proizvodjača ima dosta, po nižim cenama, ali i sa slabijim kvalitetom...tako da sve ima svoje. Hvala puno, takodje i Vama🙂❤️🍀

Wow love this, I love the colour and stencilling - it’s right up my street! I first fell in love with this channel after seeing the French gold and dusty rose drawers 💖 and now I’m inspired to do up furniture🪑🎨 I was never good at art but hopefully I can just get neat at painting with practice ✨

You might want to try adding a copper or brass metallic paint into the wax. That might give you more of the color that you're looking for

I love this technique of using a hair dryer. Beautiful texture. I really enjoyed watching the progress of this desk. The end result is simply gorgeous! I think I need to give this a try on my 1930's sewing machine cabinet. The one I keep repainting because it's such a fun piece to repaint.
