Today I rewatched this. Sam has just picked up a yet unnamed mare in LA. Bo was so skittish and wild compared to the current Mustang who's more familiar with what people may have to offer. Treats !!
looking at the job ahead from day 1, I would say Extreme Makeover is the right description. But expect Sam will work her magic and soon turn this around? This is Boo isn't it?
What was the reason to take her from the wild? I hope it was for more than a makeover or perhaps your part of the problem on the earth. Hopefully that's not the case or you will be punished to fullest extent if so
I think you need to read up a little bit... there are about 75,000 horses in the wild. Some of them are starving because of lack of food and water (overpopulation is one of the factors). There are about 45,000 in holding that have been rounded up, being fed and taken care of with money from the government. Your choices are, let them starve in the wild, send them to slaughter, or let them get adopted, trained, and live lives where they don't have to worry where they will find their next meal. Take your pick. It sounds to me like you are more of the problem on this earth.
She was left alone on unloading day. I didn't try to interact with her until the day after... That's fantastic that you can notice the horse is underweight, great observation! If you read the title, it says "Day 1". She has plenty of hay to eat in her paddock
