Extreme Rock Crawling - WE Rock Grand Nationals 2019 - Reckless Wrench Garage 

My Dad sprayed my bmx when i was 6 and put 5 spoke mags on them, and I thought i was lucky! To have a custom made rock crawler at 6.. wow!

I was the crew chief for Bruce Zeller, Mad Rock Racing #181, from 2004-2007. What a great time. I met a lot of great folks during our time on the WERock circuit.

Chokecherry canyon is my favorite place to wheel!!! Lots of fun terrain. Watching the comp buggies is always fun. I help on a rescue of a Toyota pick up a few years ago. He was going up a stepped waterfall when the rear output on his transfer case broke. After we got him out he still had front wheel drive!!!

My buddy is friends with JHF and I had the opportunity to help pit for him at KOH a few years back. Super talented and humble chill dude!!!

Rock crawling has come a long way. Been to New Mexico once for the Chile Challenge and it was awesome wheeling.

Favorite W.E. Rock coarse I was able to see was the man made coarse in Houston. I remember meeting and getting a picture with shannon Campbell when I was maybe 12. Was able to see the xrra race in abq and met him again and his father. I loved W.E. Rock!

One thing I'd like to mention - if anyone wants to do this on a much smaller scale, Google the Axial Capra - a new release 1/10th scale radio-controlled rock crawling buggy with portal axles and rear dig function, looks and performs just like one of these! You can even custom-build one with rear steer...(not affiliated, just a fan)

Thanks for the coverage guys! Farmington is my home town! I moved to Denver about 10 years ago, and sold my last rig a couple years fallowing. Ever since, I’ve been out of the ‘wheelin loop and don’t get home as often as I’d like. I love the content! A lot of it reminds me of the stuff we’d do/build back at home. I hope you guys got shown around, or at least found some of the EPIC trails they have their. If not, look up my buddy “Spotter” Rick. His RU-vid channel is 4x4pirate. He’s an awesome guy and loves to “Spot” people around the canyon! Lol! Keep it up guys!

Great vid post ! Can't afford full-size rock bouncing on a low retirement fixed income. Soooo, I am starting to "do it" 1:10 scale radio control. DUMB QUESTION- Do you think ecpxperimenting with scale rock bouncers could prove helpful when building a full-size one?
