U did a victorious Victorian job. DON'T let the wallpaper co. Off the hook . Hound them . Do it for us little people that don't have a platform but experience rip-off with on line co.'s .again, fantastically gorgeous 😍
Thank you for watching. I'm so happy you liked it!!! It's been over a month now and I still haven't heard back so I think it's safe to say I probably won't 😭
Cabinet looks great. But for a future tip, I saw a youtube video where they cut out a piece of thin cardboard the size of the indented part of a cabinet door and put the wallpaper over it to make the door look smooth. There were no indents then.
Wow your bathroom looks great!!! I love the wallpaper. And you did an amazing job of hand painting the pattern onto the wall 🤩😍 Love the plants, the frame around the mirror with the added decals 😍 and the darker colour on the cabinet. The sheer flowy curtain over the plastic curtain really elevated the look. The rub and buff on the little ornate mirror transformed it!! Great job Lanchen 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great idea with doing tour own branches into the white spots! I would even go a step further and match the pink of the wallpaper to paint and then it will look seemless!
I have recently found your channel & love it. Your energy, enthusiasm & being so willing to share is awesome. You did an amazing job on the loo...as they say in England! Thank you for being so fearless and just going for it. It reminds me to just step into it & whatever happens - it will all work out. Well done, you!
So much warmer. I love the way the paper stretched on the toilet seat. I never knew that would work like that. I think you could still go with a colored curtain, if you wanted, for more privacy. I don't think the window curtain has to "match" the shower curtain. Looks really nice. I do hope you get the wallpaper issue sorted out though. It's too expensive to let them get away with not providing everything. Despite it, you handled it well.
Very cute! For the gap in the wallpaper above the light fixture, you could try to find a similar bird as a wall decal to fill in the blank space! And perhaps new light shades on the light fixture that are more Victorian?
Absolutely love this makeover, its stunning! Just a warning that if you have sensitive skin and toilet seat made of wood, then the wood can soak up some of the cleaning products and transfer them to your skin with use. For most it will be fine, but it's the kind of thing you probably wouldn't see as the obvious cause of any pants-related skin issues.
Wow … Legit looks amazing. Also the funny odd dorky British accent ish .. haha so random. So brave !! to have starting staining the shelf mounted …with the wallpaper …. My nerves !!!! Haha And yes….. toilet seats made of wood/ wood design.. look amazing. Well done
Great job! You may be able to use the heat with the doors to the cabinet the way you did with the toilet lid. Just warm it up and use some foam to push in to the detail.
Great job!!!...and I was going to comment that you are talented enough with a brush to paint in some details to "bridge" the wall covering design...and then you thought of it yourself!!! 😉
It looks amazing, i didn't expected. Because is a small space i thought that will be very hard to keep it also practical. But is a gorgeous bath, and indeed, it seems bigger than when was all white. ♥♥♥
I can't unsee the wallpaper problems and the cabinet doors:( You did a fabulous job but I'd be out there trying to source another roll of that paper immediately! Also, were you not allowed to stain the cupboard? That had to be a better option for the doors at least.
I don't know what's going on, you're one of my most watched channels but RU-vid REFUSED to notify me of this video. I have ALL notifications turned on for your channel, but it never showed up in my notifications and I had to search for your channel and then go to the video from your page because it just seemed determined to hide it from me. Thought you'd want to know. I'll comment again once I've finished watching the video with my thoughts on it, I've been excited for this one!
Just curious - why you titled the video - Vintage Victorian Bathroom Makeover - when you were going for Modern Victorian Bathroom Makeover?? It came out lovely & imho, Modern Victorian is actually a more accurate description!
I would have tried to match the pink wallpaper with paint before painting the details to match. Suppose you even still could. Other than that good job!
If you already had stain why didn't you just use it on the cabinets. The room looks ok, but you can tell it was rushed, I guess I don't understand why you took on a project you felt you had to rush through though. They sell Wooden toilet lids modern day ones, I have one
Absolutely wonderful. That wall paper is stunning! I must get for my half bath!!!! Cheers. Have you done Bohemian yet? Thanks. oh link for the wallpaper please?
I hope the wallpaper works out for you; it's pretty high-risk in a small bathroom. Normally use a purpose made paper, otherwise condensation is going to get to the adhesive and it will start to peel. I think I would have hung the curtains level with the top of the window, especially with wallpaper behind them.
Don’t be afraid of toilet water, just get what you dropped then was your hands. As for the toilet roll holder, if it is a spider just spray it and move on. If you panic over everything you will get nothing done.
How will wallpaper and that paste hold up to condensation? We have a small upstairs toilet with just a sink, no shower or anything else. I've been thinking about putting a nice wallpaper up there
I think she means to use startch so that she can take it down when she moves. It's a trick that a lot of military families use to change the walls by heavily starching a sheet. And it comes off easy and is easy to make it look like nothing was ever there. I think you have to buy a jug of starch. Can't just spray it. I remember hearing military friends talk about doing it.
I was watching some other vid last week or something about another wallpaper nitemare a bit that wasn't total disaster at the end but nothing I could really imitate here, anyway, so that saves me several hundred bucks at least.
I know someone who has the real toilet with the high wooden box thing in a small bathroom w' Old Timey paper design, but they're not renting and don't know how much it cost way back when [likely before you born]...
Why I say "likely" when I should add how many years before I knew them in speculation or whate'er is installed at least ten years plus thirty or something? Anyway, other people should know that such things with brass fixtures exist and such if they look hard enough.
60s tune redone as Dance Mix is clearly what comes first t' MY mind when I tink o' wooden Victorian toilets and such, too. Don't actually know the name this one. Herb Alpert???
Is put up pictures of birds but then cover over the pictures of the birds? That's the kind o' ting that makes me triggered or whatever, but the seams that don't match up is always the big fear for the diy project people, blah, blah.
