One thing I've found is that by repeatedly jerking the hookset, you create bigger holes in the fish's mouth and give space for the barbs to freely pass through losing the fish. Just something to consider that works for me (not doing that)

Hi mate, great fishing videos, I mean the locations are amazing and youre good! 👍🏽. I just thought i could share a little something with you especially when you are hooking up GTs, I don’t know if you’re aware, GTs, Trevally all have a softer membrane between the outer lip of their mouth and sometimes when u hook em up the hook sets itself on that soft membrane giving the fisherman that initial thrill that the GT is hooked well, so then we tend to immediately tighten the drag a little too much and by the time the hook sets and quickly tears off that soft membrane the fish is gone. So In my experience what ive learnt is only tightened the drag half turns and in short intervals. This way you will also let the fish run a bit and tire the fish at the same time and increasing the drag gradually will tire the fish faster too and hence making it a bit easier to reel in. my 2 cents. all the best 👍🏽💪🏽

I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

Sometimes when you double set the hook you pull it and you would have been better off just gently fighting it because it was barely hooked it's a really hard to break that habit instinctively you want to set it as hard as you can as much as you can but once I stopped I caught more fish
