Extreme, steep bushhogging on a section of our farm. You can't ride a 4 wheeler up the section but he drove this 95 hp tractor around it. Notice how much it slides. Taken in Morgan Co KY
You can debate whether hes brave or dumb,but realistically that's steeper than you should tryin mow. I'm sure others have done it and theyll call me a sissy,but you can see the tractor sliding some. In this instance,you just need to find a better way.
i think AEBI in switzerland makes tractors designed for this kind of steep slope cutting - but this nut looks like he's on a regular Kubota!! i'll bet this guy is dead by now.
A properly ballast tractor will outperform a Ventrac, greatly. I have a dually Ventrac and a 4wd w/15' batwing. I use the Ventrac on the small rare areas that are too steep or the tractor can't get into. The slopes the tractor can't do are often beyond what the Ventrac is able do... not all of the time though. When both of those can't do it, the forestry weed eater gets deployed, lol . 👍🏻
