On the 23rd February 2017 Storm Doris brought extreme 70mph winds and hellish rain to much of Europe, there was a good amount of damage and disruption caused. So, me being highly sensible thought it would be a good idea to spend the day at Liverpool Airport. Clearly I've made better choices. To be honest it was well worth getting soaked and blown over for some of the footage I got today. It started with a KLM 737 and Icelandair 757 both attempting to divert in from MAN, Neither of these landing attempts were successful. The KLM went to LBA and the Icelandair declared a low fuel emergency and landed at MAN. There were then a few expertly landed A320's. By now the wind was gusting around 55 to 60 knots. We then got a further 9 go arounds, a TCX A321, and BA A321 Divert, and some extreme windshear encounters. I do however apologise for how shaky the footage is, I had to film freehand as my tripod blew into a rather large puddle and was deemed unusable. I hope you enjoy the video regardless, it's a good one!
