To be fair, its only warranted as criticism if the game is unfairly hard. KH so far nailed the hard but fair when it comes to Proud and Critical modes aside from KH BBS PSP where it's more how fast you can mash the dodge button than actually learning the fight 100% (looking at you PSP Mysterious Figure).

@@nekotorin No, they nerfed No Heart. MF is still as hard as he is in the psp version. The only change is, the Tornadoes don’t allow Juggle Reprisals. Only his air grab allows you to Air Slide away. It’s swapped from psp. However, they nerfed No Heart. MF has always been hard. But No Heart was the one that’s been far more broken. Bc in Psp fm, he kept spamming that explode and had lag bs as well if your wireless wasn’t good. Meaning he could’ve been spamming that command lock over and over. MF was on the poorer side of the balance, No Heart had no balance.

@@nekotorin The only nerf MF had, only winds up as a “tweak” more or less. NH was far more busted than MF was. Remember NH was part of the Mirage Arena. And Psp Mirage arena was multiplayer focused. Meaning the ORIGINAL FIGHT of NH was meant for 3+ players to fight him. But he was so busted that the mines did little (yet guaranteed) damage. He could block the surges. He could use a Keyblade transform to negate shotlocks. He could grab you out of dodge. So, bud. When I say “unskilled” I was mostly joking. But when I put it into context, it is far more hurtful when you know how brutal OG versions were.

Tbh this game is way too complex for a kid to understand completely. I played as a young child and honestly had only like half the story figured out until replaying it in my teens/adulthood 😂😂

@@mistayoutubah You have to play Birth by Sleep to understand the story of Kingdom hearts 3. I think this is the biggest part of the problem when it comes to people not understanding the story. Birth by sleep wasn't on anything but the PSP until later, so lots of people didn't play it. Birth by Sleep is literally the most important story game in the entire series.

@@cosmicabyss7358 I’m talking before the days of BBS, I had BBS at launch on PSP. I did however skip CoM on GameBoy until playing ReCoM on PS2 later on, so KH2 was basically me going off KH1 and Roxas’s flashbacks for context as a 5 year old… but at 5, just KH1 and KH2 alone had me thinking I fully understood the story, while in truth I was missing like so many basic things; like THE WHOLE CASTLE OBLIVION ARC, or like Riku being the actual master of the Kingdom Key and not Sora, or why Mickey left in the first place, or why Sora and Kairi got separated at the end of KH1, or why Ansem collected princesses of heart, or why Ansem wanted to open Kingdom Hearts, or why Xemnas now wanted to open Kingdom Hearts again if it’s just light behind it, also I literally thought Demyx was an evil version of Roxas since the whole game they never say Demyx’s name out loud and I was too young to read journals 😂😂😂 Just a whole lot of stuff, some of it I thought I had figured out and some I just assumed there was more to learn and more to be explained in the future; I replayed the games for years on end but it wasn’t until playing it as an older person that all of the pieces clicked how they’re supposed to, and of course it helped me understand further when ReCoM, BBS, Days, and ReCoded came out as well. I was 18 when KH3 came out so no trouble understanding there; while I do have my grievances with KH3, the story is one of the aspects I really loved (although I do wish it was longer).

KH1 has tech xp, which KH2 doesn't have. I miss that aspect.

See I thought the same thing until I played BBS, which gave us exactly that; gummi-less travel… However upon receiving such a concept actually in-game, I will say it felt empty just hopping to the next world on my hover-key-armor-thing. For me, the gummi ship is the song of a caged bird. I used to sing all day about removing the silly barriers between worlds, but once my cage was actually opened and I was set free, I realized only how much I’ve fallen in love with truly every aspect of my gummi-cage… A KH game without gummi ship just feels like something important is missing. However, I will say I like that they at least spiced it up with each gummi version, going from basic KH1 gummi ship travel, to a vastly more advanced gummi ship in KH2, to an even more vastly advanced gummi ship in KH3 literally traveling freely through space obstacles. The one time world barriers felt truly and utterly stupid to me was in DDD where there was no need for a gummi ship so instead they introduced Deep Dives, which I thought was cool for the very first time… but then when I realized it was EVERY SINGLE WORLD, I personally despised every second of it. Maybe this is how gummi feels to some who don’t like it, but like, I’m sorry it’s been here since the beginning and I feel naked without my gummi. There’s also the fact that it’s been kinda canonically established as a thing with a reason, so to undo it like BBS did kinda makes no sense. You can’t travel worlds without first clearing and unsealing the gateway/route which is blocked by dark nasties in the process of infecting the world you’re visiting. Since Sora is in Quadratum it could work canonically to do without the gummi ship, like DDD, but if we actually want to travel worlds in KH4 without teleporting thru dark corridors we will need some trusty gummi pilots for lore sake.

@king yoloman I'm just saying making it mandatory to do it. Players should be able to do it as a mini game if they desire or just have the space travel be part if a cut scene going in to the next world.

@@Decade_of_the_Dawg I feel ya boss, maybe optional gummi routes are the way to go so everyone can play comfortably… It’s just that the mandatory style kinda makes you EARN each level you unlock, so idk half of me really doesn’t care if everyone else skips because I know I’ll still be 100%ing no matter what; but then another part of me gets slightly bothered by the concept since gummi has always been a mandatory rite of passage… It’s less about wanting to control other’s experiences, truly, and more about preserving the gummi mindset & tradition, I’m a nostalgic mess I know. Like I said though, maybe it’s worth a shot doing optional gummi. I just don’t want it completely removed, especially after KH3’s new gummi design SHEEEESH 🔥 (I wouldn’t mind going back to a KH2 style world map tho tbh, or at least an option to switch back and forth between space and the map, since flying ALL the way across space and remembering world locations does get tedious)

People hate everything that's good. I'm not surprised at all. The better something is and the more people that like it. The more people that hate it also.

Most open world flying sections if you stick to the outside you can fly past most gummi ship bosses.

I feel like these situations they maybe aren't adapting to using it while playing siumultaniously ; (like the camera is part of controlling your character, or in some 3rd person games, I actually consider myself to be the camera as the observer of the character). Or possibly some will not use it at all, except for when they funnel themselves into an essential 180 rotation or something. But we can adapt to using a 'bad' camera.. You don't have to of course but if it's a 'bad' camera, - working with it and learning what to do (and perhaps more importantly what not to do) will go a long way. I don't tend to consider camera issues in games a big deal so it's a curious thing to consider why people react like this so often.

@@petroscardoso I think that’s fair, but we need to be careful not to Stan ourselves down a path of lootboxes and season pass skins as NFT’s because I guarantee that’s Squares next big idea if we just go along with it and refuse to “hate”. Some things must be criticized loudly and clearly by the fan base otherwise they will get away with it and make it look like we’ve been agreeing with them the entire time, such as moving BBS and Nomura’s other future titles to handheld while FF took the PS3; we’ve been getting the short end of the stick because some of these people insist that it IS a perfect game and just want to drown out criticism and “ooh Disney” their way thru the series… which is fine, those people deserve to enjoy their game, but like what I don’t understand about so many of those people is how can you be so willingly ignorant to blatant facts, yet demand a space online to spread overhype garbage within. Like these Stan’s come out of the woodlands in bands for this game for the simple reason that they don’t like that criticism exists around a game that deserves to be criticized. They’re going to drive the series into the ground exclaiming they love problematic things and we’re just going to continue to end up with whatever is left from Square Enix’s Tokyo FF budget plans. At some point the adults need to step up and have logical discussions, while the ignorant kids who want to be ignorant kids forever should just go play.

@@mistayoutubah I like to think about KH3 as KH1 for the new generation. I hope they learn from their mistakes (like the problems that the gameplay had at day one, before Re:mind fixes) and then bring something really memorable with the next instalment.

Bro do you know where you are? This is not a KH3 video - and you’re wrong. The “most amazing and perfect KH3” was the one which Tokyo Team was making for us on Luminous Engine (2 and 1/2 years into development and reported >40% complete) before SquareCorp stole our devs for FF7R and gave the task of finishing KH3 to Osaka Team who restarted the game from nothing in Unreal Engine and made it floaty and failed to listen to fans. The story was good but it should’ve been longer than the last PS2 game was. I loved the upgrades such as flow-motion and world size and graphics which we saw in KH3, but all of that was there before the restart, those upgrades were already coming regardless from Tokyo Team, and we got less than what was originally planned after the fact. Square screwed us on KH3 and they’re screwing us currently on KH4 by assigning the slow budget team to our game from the start this time; also there’s no release date or updated UE5 trailer for KH4, despite the game being in development since 2019 that’s over 4 years; meanwhile Forspoken, FF7R2, FF16, FF Origins Stranger Of Paradise, and FF Crisis Core Reunion all coming this year on PS5, all developed in 3 years or less in Tokyo studios. Tokyo devs famously work 80-90 hour weeks, in order to meet release window deadlines etc. Meanwhile Osaka devs are not allowed overtime which is more than 40 hours per week, which would make them cost $1.5x per hour; which goes completely against the budget philosophy Square chose upon starting KH4 with Osaka to save money. KH fans always show up regardless, FF is hit or miss with the fan base, and these new IP’s like Forspoken are generally a huge risk of flopping. Therefore, Square Corporate favors us last since they know they can get away with saving money on us and charging us full price anyway. It’s the same plans they had in 2006 when they brought FF to PS3 and left KH scattered across different handheld systems, instead of making BBS, Days, and Coded all their own fully fledged console games. They left us in the handheld dust for 10 years and we bought every game, then repurchased their light dev work in the remasters 3 MORE TIMES before the release of KH3 and 1 MORE TIME after it released on PC. We are Square’s best selling franchise, we always show up, no matter what we have to do or how far we have to go. That’s why this time I’m pirating KH4 and playing it first on PC, deciding whether or not I like the game and feel they’ve earned $70 out of me, and if it’s any good I’ll buy it used on disc for less than $60 since I don’t support $70 games. That’s just my opinion which I’m entitled to though, don’t go saying you didn’t post a comment asking for a reply, because you did. And don’t say I’m not letting you have your opinion either, you can have your opinion in the same space as I shall have mine. Thank you.

@@joshz2491 I had more of a problem with how confusing Wonderland and Deep Jungle were. Although also I didn't know what I was doing with the weapon choice or the FF kids so that might have made it more difficult. I rented KH1 a few times and couldn't beat Deep Jungle. Then later I bought KH2 which is one of the best games I've ever played and beat it. Then I went back and bought KH1 to beat that game. I still struggled with Alice in Wonderland and Deep Jungle but I did finally beat the Deep Jungle after a while. Getting to the Waterfall part was a relief because I knew I was close to beating that level. Then everything after that was easy. I didn't struggle with Atlantica like a lot of people talk about. Monstro was confusing but I feel like a got a little lucky because I ended up in the right places. Alladin's world was easy. Captain Hook's level was the easiest. Also Hollow Bastian was challenging but in a fun way not a frustrating way like Alice and Wonderland. There is something about being confused on the first level that bothers me more than being confused on the last level.

I don't recall having too much of an issue with getting through the game in 1. Infact I would find the shortcuts and easy ways to progress through the story since that's what mattered to me the most. To the point now that when I go back to 1 I find things I had no idea were in the game still hehe. Once I got to Hollow Bastion though that's when I started getting really stuck, my way out of it was doing the tournaments and getting the Olympia Keyblade when I was stuck at Riku Ansem. Nowadays I know that worked because the Olympia is a long keyblade and so there's a low chance of missing your attacks unlike with the Fairy Harp which is what I used at first as a kid.

@@danielevans7439 I actually let go of the analog stick before using the pad to navigate the menu; unless I have to in certain circumstances (which is basically almost never generally), all my actions on each half of the controller are dictated by my respective hands.
