What solution do you guys use for the cleaner/shampooer for general dirt/cleaning? This is for a residential upright machine but I figure what you use would also work and probably cheaper than the $20 for 50floz solution found in most superstores.

Every time I watch a cleaning, it crosses my mind that the smells must be overwhelming. Solvents, soaps sure- but nothing that dirty ever smells pleasant. Ugh. Thankfully, there is no smell-a-vision.😮
