Extron VSC 500 (plus other) Lag Testing

My VSC500’s PSU died. Does anyone knows where to get a replacement one? In Europe. Outside of EU is a no go, due to heavy import taxes and VAT.

That's awesome. I have an Xtron VSC 700D, and so far it's also been awesome to play modern games on CRTs. The S-Video output on it is extremely clean. I have a Sony Blu-Ray player with S-Video out on it, and the Extron looks way better converting the HDMI from the Blu-Ray player to S-Video than the native S-Video directly from the Blu-Ray player. Granted, you still have to convert the HDMI to VGA, but the Extron VSC devices are pretty awesome.

My suggestion to eliminate echo: It would be extremely easy to setup skype to OUTPUT the audio to your bluetooth headset while still using the INPUT from your shotgun mic. Simply setting the bluetooth device as the default audio output and the shotgun mic as the default audio input in Windows' settings should accomplish this.

I noticed that Extron only shares their firmwares with party vendors?

At 1:26:44 you said the use case is to put a roku stick and watch it on an old TV via composite video, correct? That doesn't seem like the use case to me at all. Where are big CRT monitors still necessary and needed? Arcade machines! It's a quick and simple mod to pull RGB out of a PSX or Sega Saturn, solder it to a JAMMA connector, (along with disassembled controllers) and play console games on the arcade machine. But for modern game systems it's impossible without some sort of down-scaler. For instance, I'd really like to hook my PC-Engine Mini up to my arcade machine, but it only has HDMI output. Likewise, my XBox Series S has a bunch of retro games and stuff that would be awesome on an arcade machine, like TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, Streets of Rage 4, Street Fighter 30th anniversary collection and more. But it only outputs HDMI. I want to convert HDMI to RGBS, and this seems like the ticket!! I've been looking for something that can do this for YEARS. What HDMI to VGA adapter are you using? I want to make sure I get the least amount of lag possible.
