I just bought it. Trust me most I’ve met say the 4wd is unecessary. Just pull the trigger, you can add 4wd later. The difference between suspension and trucks is phenomenal it still carved, has a good turn radius
⚡🤙🏼🤙🏼⚡ *2023 might just become the year for Gear Drive to go more mainstream.* Love the carvin man. I've gone over those bus stop "waves" on street wheels, scary af 😂 I either avoid bus stops or slow down lol. They really gotta come up with a solution for that lol.
Hey Lewis thanks for watching! I love both to be honest. The Eovan is still the highest range carbon board I’ve owned stock without having to add an auxiliary battery
Thanks Amar, great video as always, I totally agree with you that this modular aspect is the way forward. Up till now I have the Lacroix Lonestar for range, the Meepo Hurricane for carving and an Apex Predator for off road, I'm not saying that this board will do off road as well as a mountain board or ride like a boutique board like the Lacroix, but it ticks all of the boxes as far as I'm concerned. I have the gear drives front and rear and the torque is amazing, turbo is frightening and I don't think there are many production boards out there that would keep up with it off the mark, carving with the aux battery on takes a little getting used too but after a while and since I already have a mountain board with a mid mounted battery I don't even notice it. The weight is the only issue, with both sets of gear drives and the Aux Battery it certainly isn't something you are picking up and carrying (thanks for tank mode😄) just out of interest I will weigh it in comparison to the Lonestar, but then if you think for me its taking the place of three boards then hopefully its a win win situation. I haven't needed any customer support as yet so cannot comment on that but I hear a lot of positives and the company is certainly innovative in its approach, I cant wait to see what else 2023 holds, roll on summer .. Mark
Hey Mark. Thanks for watching and for your compliments! You seem to have a board for every occasion which is brilliant. Also if one has a bad day you can still be riding. But yeah if this 1 can take the place of 3 then you’re onto a real winner! Yes I too haven’t tried turbo mode with full acceleration. Even with 2wd I’m pretty sure it will throw me off. The biggest con is definitely the weight and there’s no getting around that. When I eventually make my full review this will be mentioned
Great review! What protective equipment are you using mate? Ive just ordered my first beginner board ( tynee mini 2) and im slightly nervous tbh. Got any advice?
Hey thanks for great video! I would like to hear your thoughts about Flux AT2 vs Exway Atlas Pro? Which one woul dyou recomend to me? I am 205 cm and 104 kg and currently I have Evolve Hadean Carbon. But as you can imagine after year or riding it the range limitation (about 35 km) is not enough for me. Thanks again for your content!
Amazing video, I already have the pro deck and I’ll have most everything else in the next few months, this video was very helpful, especially in terms of range limits with different wheels and other auxpack questions, exway doesn’t release very in-depth videos so I’m glad they are instead paying a great deal of attention to RU-vidrs reviewing them, idk another brand that comes close to that.
Thank you for the video Wanted to ask your advice I have a standard Atlas PRO 2WD I live in a mountainous area where there are many serpentine mountain roads with a slope of 25 degrees to 50 degrees. The surface is smooth asphalt. I don't drive off-road. I want to increase the acceleration performance when going uphill I'm trying to figure out which option will be the most effective for me. Will Gear Drive 2WD give it to me? or is it worth buying a kit for an all-wheel drive swap with a belt drive?
2022 for sure, 2023 has yet to reveal its secrets. As for me ill be skipping it since I already got the normal Atlas. Waiting to see what they got in stock for the upcomming years.
