I started working last week in an opthamolic clinic.. with absolutely ZERO experience. I've never even had glasses. I'm SO glad to find that you made these videos. You break things down so that even us common folk can understand. I APPRECIATE YOU!
I really enjoyed watching this video Dr. Campbell. Your nice illustration along with comprehensive explanation made learning about eye anatomy easier and more fun. Thanks for the video!
ANATOMY OF THE EYES..!! Eyes are organs of the visual system. They provide organisms vision, the ability to process visual detail, as well as enabling several photo response functions that are independent of vision. Eyes detect light and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons. The eye is a complex optical system which collects light from the surrounding environment, regulates its intensity through a diaphragm, focuses it through an adjustable assembly of lenses to form an image, converts this image into a set of electrical signals, and transmits these signals to the brain through complex neural pathways that connect the eye via the optic nerve to the visual cortex and other areas of the brain.
21:29 I have a doubt. It is given in my textbook that the Conjunctiva doesnot cover the Cornea. Infact, It says that it merely covers and protects the front part of the sclera except the cornea. Does this have to do with other parts present in the Conjunctival sac as you've said it?
